I hope someone sees my 3 post. The groceries sores reminded me of a going out of business store. Kids are nervous. I'm not sleeping but still forced to go to work. I think we are watching are economy fall and population control may be the reason for the Flu. People seemed so sad. The faces of are healthcare staff looks drained physically and emotionally. It doesn't seem like the powers to be are moving fast enough. Is a healthcare system able to bare this load. I'm confident some off grid family is looking to expand there numbers. I look forward to making new friends

Hi, welcome to SB! My kids are nervous too but it's our job to reassure them and take the burden from their shoulders. I am sure you are doing the best you can.

Welcome to the board. Can I hear you? Technically no, I'm 90% deaf, but I can read, lol.
If you're nervous yourself, you might be projecting nervousness to your kids. Losing sleep over this COVID-19 situation is nothing short of shooting yourself in the foot, it's pointless IMO. So relax a bit and get some sleep.
I think for healthcare workers it's a trying time, but many are prepared too. Fortunately, the virus has NOT attacked everyone everywhere. You don't say where you're from, but most (if not all) are doing the best we can to stay healthy. Like me, some have locked down. Here in Oklahoma, measures have been taken to insure that we don't spread the disease further.

The constant barrage of covid info coupled with fear and panic around us can wear you down. They just feed each other.

My advice is to take a mental break with the family - unplug & disconnect; go for a walk, take the dog; have a family game night; start some seeds; spend time outside; etc.

I am remaining calm. One clue in my mind is the grocery store impact. My son who lives in a neighboring community in my county is venturing to the grocery store and supplement store today. I told him I didn't need anything but to check on the TP aisle just for a heads up. If TP can remain stocked it would be an indication that the the idiots have stopped panic buying which would be a good sign. Otherwise if other aisles are showing problems we may be in for a more serious problem.

Yes we see your posts. Take a deep breath. If you are visibly nervous / scared your children will pick up on that very quickly. It's wise to be concerned but don't panic. When you want advice ask specific questions. You'll find a good number of people here who are willing to answer questions or give suggestions. Also it might help if you gave some idea where you are. Not an address. Maybe a state or as some do a state and area. I'm in Northern Indiana. It might help you find friends in your area.

Welcome from Texas!

Don't panic, stand firm. If this is indeed an attempt by some to crash the economy, then our panic is their ammo.

We are still Americans and will withstand this assault as well.
