Gunbroker has very limited power over its customers and sellers compare to amazon or ebay which in my opinion is a good thing but also equally can be bad.

Considering there is hundreds of thousands of sellers on gunbroker to stop using it because of 1 bad seller seems like a mistake. Especially if your credit card will cover the money you lost.

I still use gunbroker even though one seller cost me 200 dollars by never delivering the parts I ordered but that is the risk one takes. I sure as hell don't use the seller that shorted me my parts though.

I have for the most part had really good luck with ebay and amazon. I do the forums on gunbroker, I'm not buying a gun without inspecting it first.

The other day someone posted an amazon special for Polar Pure for $10 in the deal of the day forum. I ordered it. It came and the bottle was nearly empty - the plastic bag and the instructions were stained brown from the iodine. So I look and I can't return it. Today I went to help assistant - the computer agent sent to a real person - they understood the issue and gave me credit for the $10 and I got to keep the really big empty bottle of Polar Pure. Out of 100's of purchases online i have only had 2 returns.

BTW there was just a change to the gunbroker forums yesterday and there was one sometime back. PIA getting back in both times - lots of folks never came back the last time, yet to see how many leave this time.

I have used gunbroker several times for various things, no problems. As far as amazon, I to received a half empty bottle in an order, this was Apple Cider Vinegar. The cap had come loose. It ruined a couple books and something else. They gave me rebates for the damages, plus didnt charge for vinegar and I got free 1/2 gal.
I think Gunbroker is a good source, but I always pick someone with MANY sales, and good reports on most. I will even read the bad reports to see what happened. Some people cant be pleased with anything.

When you deal with your credit card company, don't say you tried to buy a firearm or firearm accessories. Just say "sporting goods equipment." That way your CC company won't flag you because odd's are, that CC company is anti-2nd Amendment like most companies are these days unfortunately.

I’ve only used gun broker once to buy a lower from an FFL. It was ok.

I prefer arms list. And in Houston you can find most of what you want Locally on arms list. Unless it’s some rare gun

Sorry you're having trouble, but don't make a scapegoat of Gunbroker.

I've bought a lot of stuff on Gunbroker, including a few old Stevens rifles, and a couple of Krags. Just won a nice Marbles tang sight. Never a problem. A lot more than I can say for Amazon. (Don't let me get started on evilBay!)

I am, however, very skeptical of sellers with little or no feedback.

I buy and sell reloading components on GB. In 5 years or so, out of perhaps 1200 purchases, there were only 6 scumbag sellers-yes, I keep track. There are another 6 where the listings were almost certainly bogus. They're on the same list. On the other hand, I'm constantly surprised by "EXTRAS". Those good people far and away outnumber the *******s.

Not Gunbrokers fault. I've only used Gunbroker once to buy my dream gun that popped up and the seller was phenomenal. Responded to every email quickly, processed my payment and had the gun shipped that day. Still, Gunbroker played no part in that. The sites just there to connect people, that's it.

Just get your money back and be more careful. Always check reviews of buyers/sellers.

Buy from experienced sellers with good reviews! Too good a deal to pass up use a credit card or don’t buy it!

I guess it is unfair to blame GB for a bad vendor.

Give it time man. You have no idea what's going on. Guy could have had a stroke, got in a accident, or lost a family member. Things happen. It is cause for concern, but don't freak out. Did your FFL have any contact? Did you follow their instructions? I've waited 2-3 weeks for private sales on Gunbroker. 8-10 sales and I've never had a issue.

Not saying this is the case, but this mentality drives me nuts. As a Ebay and Etsy seller, I deal with people like this from time to time. "Did you ship it?" "I need that shipped TODAY", "WHERE'S MY ITEM! It's been 4 DAYS!". "I'm filing a dispute, I ordered a knife from you 5 days ago, and it hasn't arrived here in Hawaii yet". People are freaking impatient.

It was the lack of communication that ****ed me off. I'm not people like that. One email from them and I would have gladly waited. I emailed them five times and no answer. This went on for two weeks which was plenty of time to dash off an email. .
