I've never had UPS or FEDEX even ring the bell. They just drop it off. Probably ticked off too due to the weight

Just last year I saw a young guy turned down trying to buy some .223 ammo at Walmart. The clerk said that the reason he couldn't sell it to him was because it could be used in a .223 pistol.

They can say that about a lot of calibers.
Calibers that could be :
.22LR
.22WMR (mag )
.223/5.56 ( have a few myself )
7.62x39 ( also have one )
.300 BLK
6.8
.308 ( Saw it on Buds )
Anything that you see an AR in you can see an AR pistol in.
Even more conventional guns like the Thompson Contender have calibers like 30-30 win, 45-70 gov't, 6.8 rem, .204 Ruger, etc.. So, technically, those could easily be justified as being "pistol" calibers .. You could probably make a similar case about certain shotgun calibers too..

Personally though, I'd pull it upon wikipedia on the phone, and see the manager.

Except when they're the cheapest.

I quit buying anything from CTD after they were gouging everyone on the price of 30-round magazines just a few years ago. I don't remember the exact prices they were asking, but I seem to remember they were around five times (or more) the MSRP. They were pretty bad with ammo prices too. I suppose that it's just the free market, supply-and-demand, that sets prices, but that just left a bad taste in my mouth for CTD.

I bought rifle ammo from J&G at 19. I saw that and called, they said just order it your fine for rifle.

I have stuck with SGammo since I like their ammo selection better.

Forget Walmart! I have boycotted them and have not stepped foot in a Walmart in over a year and a half.

It is stupid when they ask if the ammo you are buying is for a rifle or a handgun. I buy all of my ammo at Cabelas, Fleetfarm, or mom and pop gun shops now.

I have purchased thousands of rounds of ammunition, and tons of reloading components (much more restrictive than ammo) and have never signed for a thing. Most of the time they just dump it on the porch and leave.

They just leave it on the front steep blocking my storm door so I have to walk around from the back to get it.

I have a table for deliveries but they will not use It.
