WHEN I was with the SD I used to carry a set of nunchucks that were different. They were square cut but the edges were rounded so they wouldn't cut. They were attached by a very short nylon cord. They were about 14 inches long and when you ran them in a figure 8 they made this clicking sound. that clicking sound really got to folks who were going to be ornery. They looked at them doing that lazy 8 and heard that clicking and they just knew they were not going to be happy if they kept on being stupid.

They also made a great come-along for controlling people. You could loop over a wrist and with one hand you could make someone dance pretty much any way you needed them to dance... or walk and just be nice.


If needed they could double as a sap by just holding them together and whapping someone
