A while back, I stumbled upon a video of Joe Bonamassa on the book of faces. I chanced to click on it, and the dude is a blues guitarist extraordinaire. Looked him up on you tube, and sure enough most of his songs are damn good. I'm mostly an oldies guy, but have listened to some blues now and again. Now I'm on a discovery of this style, and decided to create a thread for everyone to share some blues. This way I can learn about some more great blues people I have been missing on. Took my brother to see him in Nov in Indianapolis. Great show. Outstanding in every way.

One of my favorite singers with an amazing voice is a "local". Heather Luttrell. She was a contestant on American idol or one of those singing shows but I remember her in a small pub we hung out at...

This thread won't be complete without a Voodoo Child.

Justin Johnson makes and sells these three string shovel guitars. Here he is test-driving one--with a box cutter for a slide, lol-- just before shipping.

Watch the faces of Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones light up as Heart covers their Stairway to Heaven...and also see at the 7:11 and 7:58 mark when Jason Bonham looks up as if to say "This one is for you, Dad."

I've been a fan of the Blues a long time some favorites:
Johnny Winter
Christone Kingfish Ingram
The Rolling Stones ( I LOVE Keith on the slide guitar)
Etta James
Kenny Wayne Shepherd
Elvin Bishop
Sam Chatmon
RL Burnside

I've seen JB 5 or 6 times, he never disappoints and Justin Johnson is nothing short of AMAZING both as a musician and a craftsman!
