Looking for land within an hour of Chattanooga.
100 acres, plus or minus.
Retired military. Searching for enough for my 4 grown kids and their families.
Not looking for million dollar property.

I know you don't want anyone moving to your part of the world.
We have lived in different parts of the country. Picked your area.

Thanks for any help. or advice.

You look at this place https://www.survivalrealty.com/. The original owner was James Wesley, Rawles - author and starter of survivalblog.

Do they still have the MLS in print? An old copy and a nice cup of coffee will help you get a feel for land prices.

Dayton TN 45 minutes north of Chattanooga has what you're looking for and has some of the best fishing in the us on lake chickamauga.

I'm in Cookeville about an hour north of Chattanooga. I call it God's country. Lots of good remotish land between here and Chattanooga. PM me if you want to talk on the phone. I've been here since 86. Former military myself. Happy to advise if you have questions.

Made the trip last weekend. Beautiful country. Not all we wanted, but good. Even 2 mules and a flock of chickens already claim the place. Making an offer. Just waiting now. Thanks .

Check out zillow:

Dayton is 45 minutes north of Chattanooga and is rural enough for what you're looking for.

Have added that Dayton to my search area. Thanks

Redoubt is a lot more than a 60 min commute. LOL
