Fulton would have been my last choice to send a rifle to. If it turns out to be a good shooter then you can probably thank Walt Kulik. Clint never impressed me and listening to some of his stories on Commercial Row removed all doubts.
Iíll find out here in a month or so. Completely jammed up this time of year.

$950 for a corrected Winchester.

Mine is an all-correct Eddystone. Friend of mine was relocating to Columbia, SC, and was parting with some inventory. It was part of that. I kinda regret not buying his Israeli heavy barrel FAL as well. He changed his mind at the last minute.

This one is still unfired, just couldn't break down and do it...

I have a pile of 1917 parts and the one I just sold needed a couple small parts to be correct.
I had an interested buyer and I asked him if he wanted me to correct it or leave it as it was and he is a reenactor so he wanted it to look the part.
I should have just left it be.

Back to the OP, for your budget I'd look for:

Any papered bring back from any era.
CZ27
Radom P35
Swiss K11
Any Swede
Harder to come by SKS variant or an as issued Russian
1917 or P14
Hi-Power

Or anything that just floats your boat.

All of the above (plus many more) have been steadily climbing and in a couple more years the prices will be goofy on these.
The above are some of the ones that I own and have been surprised at how much they have climbed in the past few years.

My Model 1917 is an Eddystone made for and issued to Canada. Those Canadians took excellent care of it for me!!!
Ill Take my 1917 over any Springfield, Mauser, Mosin-Nagant or Arisaka!!

Curious as to why a K11 over a K31?

Was considering a K31 locally recently, but someone else snapped it up. May consider one again, if local, and reasonable.

Because the K31 prices have gotten to where I personally donít consider them worth the price while K11ís are still out there for decent money.

The $650+ I see people asking for hobnail beaten beech stocked K31ís is just ridiculous imo.

I picked up a Russian Imperial mark, and Finish SA New England Westinghouse Made Mosin at a local auction house. Has all the Russian and Finish marks you could want.

So I am saving up for some vintage mil surp to buy this summer, but I don't know what I should save up for. Budget isn't that great, maybe AT MOST 1,000 USD. I want something with some interesting history, on the budget, and something that I can shoot with, accurately. I already have 2 Mosins, a No.4 Mk.1 Lee-Enfield (really interesting history; made in 1943, refurbed in 1976, sent to Afganistan maybe? Also, it has initials on the stock, with 9 slashes on it. Mother almost fainted when she saw the initials haha), a Spanish Mauser M1916, and a Yugoslavian M59/66 SKS. What should I save for?
add a 1903 A3.

Eddystone is probably one of the best shooting surplus rifles I own.

I really miss my #4 Mk 1, but I have a Spanish Mauser I really love. I can't think of any old surplus weapons I want right now other than a 1911, unless I could get my Lee Enfield back. Never liked my Mosin except for the cheap ammo.

Maybe an FAL...
