That would be unconstitutional.

It is my understanding that Cali allows illegals to vote in local elections, don't know about state elections. Maybe I am wrong and it was just a leftist's wet dream

How would it be UnConstitutional? Which clause or clauses would be violated?

The 10th amendment. There is no Federal law prohibiting a state to decide who is eligible to vote and assign its electoral college votes as it sees fit.

"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

Now that is funny. Liberals hate the 10th almost as much as the 2nd, but they will still use it when it suits them.

If true, the dems have been very kind in not swaying things with illegals voting. If nothing can be done you would think they would bring in millions more that would vote dem.

What you say might be true but the Constitution still applies to all Americans so that that doesn't negate what I said.

Its a STATE problem so its up to individual states to clean their own house, not the Federal government.

You can't have it both ways.

You are aware that the Constitution has been amended from time to time, right?

This is one of those times.

This may not be clarified in the Constitution, but it is illegal under federal law for illegals to vote in national elections.

18 U.S. Code  611. Voting by aliens

No argument from me. That's what the amendment process is for.

It is illegal for non-citizens to vote in federal elections. This does not allow citizens to be disenfranchised because aliens in their state may violate the law and vote.

It would be analogous to giving a speeding ticket to every Ford driver because someone saw a Mustang going too fast.

One of the issues with the lack of vote clarification in the Constitution is that the people did not initially elect the president. That's what the electoral college was for and why it still elects the president. The president did not appear on the people's election ballot until the 1890s.

Prior to that, elections were local and state, not federal.

This tidbit seems to have been buried and forgotten somewhere along the way.

Don't give a crap, considering no one (or not enough) people don't give a crap about every unconstitutional anti 2A law in effect.

We do away with all unconstitutional laws and proposals or it's all free game. No room for hypocrisy.
