I hope you aren't going unarmed. I've seen stories that shark attacks are on the rise. Make sure to take lots of ammo too.

The last time I went to the range I was talikg with another guy and he said he wouldn't bring anything to the range that could possible be considered illegal. Same here, I have 30 round magazines that only hold 10 rounds and are legal but I'm not about to push my luck.

But the cops are just keeping the streets and schools safe from law abiding gun owners!

If an armed person attempts to rob you, are you not allowed to shoot them? Not in Kalifornia?

The person that had his Mags confiscated will be getting them back, the following was posted on Calguns.

****Update***August 8 2019
Thank you everyone for posting all your concerns. The video went all the way to the Captain of the Ventura County Sheriff's Dpt. He called me and my friend apologizing for what has happened. Paperwork is being processed for our property to be released. We will be making an appointment to pick our stuff up within the week. New video will be posted. Again thank you to everyone and the Cpt.

Werid how they now after they get blasted on social media do the corrupt police give in. My guess Is the cops will keep some for themselves and claim it was lost

Imagine thanking the leader of the people who unlawfully stole your personal property for deciding to return it.

About 15 years ago, my friend’s house in the Los Angeles area was robbed. A NIB Baretta 92f was stolen. A few hours later the thief was apprehended and the gun recovered. The thief didn’t use the gun in any crime. The thief went to prison and 5 years later my friend was still trying to get back his gun. LAPD said they were holding it for “evidence”. He finally hired a lawyer and forced LAPD to release the firearm after 5 years.

You might want to even get a couple new ones in stainless steel, just to be on the safe side, as salt air can be rough on blued guns.

The key is legal action against the dept and the officer. Once a few officers find they are in debt deep for their crime, things will change.

Hey, c'mon. Just jump on board with this new attitude of infringement. The dude was probably unstable and we're all a little bit safer. Good job all-powerful-government -- good job!
