Gotta get those numbers up. The question we need to ask is why?
Nope, that'd be the government. Actual doctors and nurses.

If I had a garden this year I would try the Kentucky Blue pole bean.

Let's see if this works:

My husband's version of PPE. He really thinks it goes that way I had to keep fixing it.

I got paid but so did everyone else I plan to stay home a couple days if at all possible.

Pork butt is smoking nicely, Cole slaw is made; time to make the mac salad (already boiled the farm fresh eggs) . Wife found me some nice chili peppers so hope to plant those soon as well .

I'm actually enjoying this rather than finding reasons to gripe .

Yeah - if I am honest, so am I.

That may be another one of those "You might be a survivalist if........you find more new good things in your life than bad, during a once in a lifetime global pandemic".

You should have been paying attention, we where starting to do 'this' back when big brother was telling us nothing was going to happen. We are the leaders of this, not the followers. Its not our fault 'big brother' caught up with us.

Thanks, Jim.

I have a confession.

I've wished for YEARS that people would drive less... ever since I learned the chemistry that leads to global warming.

(In a nutshell, the fuel your vehicle REALLY burns isn't the liquid stuff, but mostly huge amounts of oxygen that's pulled from the air when the liquid stuff burns. So every gallon of gas burned emits about THREE TIMES its weight in greenhouse gases, because oxygen has weight too.)

Anyway, I have asthma. And I live in the city about two blocks from a freeway. The air here isn't normally great, but it's better than most cities, and it's WAY better than small towns where folks have to burn wood for heat.

But since the lockdown stopped all "non-essential" traffic and industry, the air is clean. Now I can breathe...

And have any of you looked at the stars lately? They are so brilliant, even in the city with all its lights, you can see tons of stars now because the sky is so clear.

The moon is bright silver again. That muddy orange haze from all the sulfur pollution is gone, and the moon looks the way I remember it when I was a kid, half a century ago.

It's all so pretty... And the air smells so GOOD.

And when it's sunny out, it sparkles.

I like this lockdown. I like seeing my neighbors walking by instead of driving. I like clean air and the quiet that comes from not having air traffic constantly flying overhead.

Maybe we could make this an annual thing? Maybe we could all just enjoy the peace and quiet and clean air for one month every year... give the animals a chance to raise their babies in the Spring without the danger of them being hit by cars... and give our own children a chance to see how beautiful the sky is when it isn't filled with smog?

Fewer people = fewer cars, less air pollution, more animals.

Kung flu = fewer people so what's the problem?

Agreed. If my preparations had not made this episode easier I would be griping. They have, and I'm not. Not that things won't or can't deteriorate from now on... but I gave it my best shot to be ready. That is kind of Zen-like in my opinion. Which is the opinion that matters most to me :-)

Gonna be a contrarion, it is rather selfish to want the lockdown to continue because one likes the quiet. Many people are out of work, supply chains are shaky, kids are not in school, medical (subject not mentioned much) is shelved unless dire, politicians are being handed even more authority and so on.

That said, I too am enjoying less traffic. I am not enjoying the situation.

If I had kids they would not be in school anyway. They were a liberal brainwashing thing and that was 30 years ago, I can only imagine what it is like now.

I don't feel bad about Sally having to wait on her boob lift. I just don't.

They shouldn't wait at all. My Aunt had cancer surgery last month.

What is she waiting for? I'm certain most states allow critical surgeries and most are now opening up to elective surgeries.

What kind of idiot would classify brain surgery as "elective"?

Buffy, the problem isn't the lockdown. The problem is your friend lives in a state run by morons.

I couldn't even take my husband to the ER after he had a seizure. He doesn't know his medical history and was totally out of it. I had to shove his phone in the pocket and hope they figured it out, then call the hospital every hour or so for updates.

So I get it. And the hospital are probably the ones who made the report to APS. But first time seizure we had to get him scanned and tested.

Turns out it is just the head injury a little spice to add to the marriage, he may fall down in a grand mal anytime now.

But they took the right precautions and he did not get sick so I commend them for that.

We have a couple of days off and I don't need to do anything aside from some cleaning, not even laundry, which is nice.
