I've been thinking about getting a pair, but I'm not sure what the laws are in Kentucky. We're a constitutional carry state, but I don't know if that applies to all weapons.

A sock and couple of D cells are cheaper and more effective. Titanium knuckles are worth the extra cost for the weight savings alone.

Velocity is squared, double your punch speed and the strike has 4 times the energy, double the weight and the energy is only doubled. A sock lengthens your arm.

I don't want a sock with batteries in it though. I want some knuckles.

What equation are you using to come up with that?

Nah. It's a low end lethal weapon. Legal analysis doesn't fit with their use. You're either a lethal aggressor in a non lethal encounter, or you've chosen a horrible defensive option for a lethal defense against about any other lethal aggressor. They also hamper grappling, which many fights go to the ground.
