I bought a plastic tarp for my work bag, it fits in the laptop compartment and is just a bit smaller than 8' x 10' (about 4" either side). I also bought another LED torch, it was just too hard to walk past it when it was $3.98, including 3 x AAA batteries.

I also bought an LED head lamp, but it didn't include batteries and 4 x AAA batteries cost me $2.98. I was tempted to go back and get another of the smaller torches, just for the batteries, as the head lamp only needs 3 batteries. The head lamp also went in my work bag, bringing the total number of torches in my work bag to 4.

I also bought 30 metres of 6mm poly rope for my work bag.

Yesterday I started on my cargo shorts. Iv sewn them all by hand and they are 3/4 of the way finished. I just need to do the zip, the waist and the hems.

Practiced with my clip on cam.

Did some very basic gardening - I can prune ok, so I took off the dead rose heads and cut back bushes. Looked at the Blackberry bush and was glad to see some fruit forming. Hopefully this year they will rippen before the cold weather kills them off.

bought a bow saw at Wallmart for $6 in the gardening section. Also purchased a "rechargeable Saftey Flashlite" for $4 at Wallmart. Its the kind you squeeze the handle a few times to recharge internal batteries.

Turned 30 odd metres of paracord into a new strap for my man-bag with some Nite-ize S-Biners on each end.

Damn, the thing is a weapong too. One whack in the head with that thing and you'd be crying for a while. Nice and weighty.

Going to church. Relationship with God is always my first and best preparation. Bought a first aid kit, pasta, canned salmon, plastic wrap, powdered milk, & black paint. Fighting the bugs of my plants. Saving lettuce, mustard, tomato, stevia, & marigold seeds. And still dehydrating corn.

Target is having a special, if you buy first aid products you can get a free first aid prep bag. I purchased a box of disposable vinyl gloves, a box of band aid and a box of gauze pads.

Other than making my 11-year-old daughter happy, this is not a real prep, but she was offered a free pet guinea pig yesterday and I let her have it. We cleaned up the cage that was in the attic and set it up for him, then went and picked him up. She named him Doogie.

No, we are not going to eat him.
