They complained constantly as the sisters counciled them and chastised them for allowing their children to get in this situation. Local welfare rights groups complain about food vouchers as it violates the claimant's rights. When I ran the general relief program the recipient had to do a work project. No work, no check. All welfare should be like this. And stop all food stamps and offer commodities. Good food that will nourish the children. Also a CPS referral as the parents are not caring for the children
That sounds like a lot of programs to fix the programs that shouldn't exist in the first place.

The more we cut programs the more people will find a need to work. Its difficult to cut any program. Once a benefit is granted the public believes they are entitled to it. Naturally nearly everyone in these programs is a Democrat and they vote. This could spell the downfall of the nation and start of Socialism.

That 49+ age group has been on Welfare/SNAP for decades and I would bet most of them are life long Democrats.

Preferences cannot be wrong, opinions can be.

Prefrence. "I think chocolate ice cream is disgusting." Cant be disputed against my taste buds.

Opinion. "I think socialism is a viable governmental system." - can be proven patently false with numerous historical examples.

State of Maine instituted this a year or two ago. The number of recipients plummeted by something like 50%. Gee, whaddayaknow!

Hmmm, i thought there were certain unalienable rights, not granted by your government. Guess i was wrong and you're all for the government to allow people to have firearms and regulate them closely?

So are many, MANY “opinions“ these days. Like hip hop music being good, sex being fluid and not based on equipment on the body, or kale being food for humans.

Just look at the impeachment “testimony”, which is 99% opinion, yet feeds the 100% delusion the media is pumping out 24/7. More than half of America now believes that delusion, many pro Trumpers now think or feel he did something wrong...even though they KNOW it’s not what the left is claiming, they still do....they just can’t tell you exactly what it is.

Delusions can be created.

The observance of unalienable rights are by, and for, legal US residents, while residing in the US ...

I don't think there is an unalienable right to welfare. No matter what country you're in.

And opinions are like axxxxxoles, everybody's got one.

You are probably right. I would bet there are a lot of folks in that age range that were also replaced by technology or changes in employment who still vote Republican though.

I guess my main point was "able bodied" in today's mostly services and retail workforce includes 50+ year olds.

So God has granted humans certain unalienable rights, and they're only for legal US residents, while residing in the US? Didn't know God liked the Americans so much that he gave you the sole rights .

You are an idiot.
I believe only citizens should have the right to firearms in this country. Beyond that there is no regulation...per the 2nd, which once again, pertains to CITIZENS.

Legal status immigrants included.

You may believe that, and you may believe i'm an idiot. Now if you can prove what you're saying, you might have a point. So please point out to this non American idiot where it states that there are certain rights which are self evident, only for Americans.

I don't read anything about nationality here, or residence or anything.

If all you can do is try and insult me and tell me to shut up, it's clear you don't have a leg to stand on in a discussion.

When I worked for the welfare dept. the claimant's felt welfare was their property and they were entitled to it. I remember a lawsuit where the judge said it was their property and they cannot be deprived of property without due process. We have given welfare trash way too much. Time to stop the program and take care of those who work for a living.

Easy peasy lemmon squeasy, in order to exercise Rights as an American Citizen you need to be an American Citizen (or one in the process of becoming one).
The contract between the United states government and the American People is the Constitution of these united States of America.
If you want the same Rights in your home country then your people need to draft a constitution that defines the rights of the citizens and charges the government with PROTECTING those rights.
If your people wish to forfeit those rights to the government then they become POWERS. Powers are granted to the government by the governed. Rights are held by individuals. I don't think you're an idiot, you Europeans have just been under the POWER of your governments for so long you seem to forget that governmental Power emanates From and By consent of the Governed.
Y'All need to get those rights back by stripping the power to deny those rights from y'alls government
Hyuk hyuk
Thought you would have learned this crap from 2 world wars and the Soviets
