Well, I seriously doubt that I will ever pick up anything else from Kel-Tek.

Neither of my factory magazines will load the last round and one of the magazines had several malfunctions while trying to strip the cartridges. (And yes, I do know how to load the magazines.) I was having problems like this with only one of the magazines but now it is both.

The only way is to pull back the charging handle and then push down the bolt catch release at the same time. ARghhhhhh

I am using 40 gr MaxiMags and 50 gr. Fed game shock. The Game shock is more accurate for me.

This has happened to me also, last was MidwayUSA. I tried posting several times that the Gock 20SF magazines did not fit the SF models but their was always an error until I finally posted five stars. It appeared the review was removed after they read it.
I just replaces a broken firing pin in my CMR and am still having an issue with a sticky magazine.

The problem is that it is really fun to shoot and looks very cool, I just wished it worked better and that their CS was more responsive.

Kel-Tek is sending me two replacement magazines but I have to send them the old ones back. I wonder how many weeks they will take to get here.. PS, even with its issues, it is still fun to shoot when it works. Yesterday we had several issues with the blot locking back on a full magazine and would only release with the bolt held back and the release pushed down.

So, probably my final post on the matter. I did manage to get both mags working. I kept on original and one of the new ones that they sent The only issue I have is that it occasionally will not feed the last round on one magazine. It locks the bolt open and I have to both pull the handle and use the bolt release at the same time.

I would not buy another but I don't plan on getting rid of the one I have, at least not now. It has very good accuracy out to about 25 yards, at 50 I would be hard pressed to hit a target clay consistently.

I am terribly disappointed in Kel-Tek customer service. They made me send back the two mags but told me that they would not examine them for defects but just throw them in the trash. They would not allow me to just keep them for spare parts. I understand their relational, I just think it was pretty cheap of them, especially since it took them so long to turn it around.

Well I was wrong. The previous post would not be the end of the story.

I was able to get only a couple of successful outings with the CMR-30. Once again it has failed and once again it is headed back to the factory.

ARGHHHHHHHHHH (it will not feed at all anymore. yes, it's clean.)

Ask for 5.7mm version.

I dont get the obsession with high capacity rimmed ammo weapons, IMHO its asking for trouble.

Exactly.....I hope they have a suggestion box.

5.7mm uppers do exist IIRC, but not many in production currently.

But functionally....why not get a 9mm upper that takes glock mags ? 33 rounds mags + decently priced 9mm ammo.

I like the dedicated .22lr and the regular .223/5.56 better.

George Kellgren is the Elon Musk of the gun world. He designed the Tec-9, SUB 2000, SU16 series as well as the Kel-Tec KSG bull pup shot gun to name a few. The guy is a crazy gun genius. I have owned a few of his guns and have had no complaints but I probably wouldn't be taking a Tec-9 into a combat situation unless it was all I had.

Well this is interesting.
After the last nightmare with Kel-Tek CS, this time seems to be fantastic. They received it yesterday, rebuilt today and it is headed for the shipping dept.

From what the CS rep told me, there have been a number of upgrades to the rifle since I got mine a couple of years ago. They even upgraded the springs in all of my magazine.
Time will tell.

when it feeds and doesn't lock up it is a dandy shooter. Very accurate and just plain fun to shoot. Here's hoping they got it right. They seem to have the PMR-30 working well.

I shot one the other day and really enjoyed it.

I owned a Gen 2 Sub-2000 in 9mm that functioned flawlessly and was a lot of fun to shoot, but it served no real purpose to me, so I sold it to a friend who loves it. But I also owned an SU-16 that ended up having to go in for a rebuild, as it was horribly inconsistent in terms of accuracy. I'd attributed it to the succession of budget optics I mounted on it, but it was eventually brought to my attention that there were some known issues with the particular model I had. To be fair, Kel-Tec was fantastic to deal with, as I couldn't find my receipt or any documentation; they initially quoted me a price for repairing it, but ultimately didn't charge me a dime. Once it came back from service, I sold it, as it really didn't do anything for me that an AR couldn't do better.

I like the idea of the CMR-30, but not the choice of cartridge. I could see it making sense for me in 9mm.
