That is crazy! I can't imagine that. Here I worked with people from all over the country this summer who came here for jobs (Alabama, Mississipi, Michigan, Oklahoma, New York, Etc.)... even a guy from Liberia in Africa. There are SOOO many new people here for the jobs.

Everywhere you go there are "NOW HIRING" signs. Every business is hurting for people and short staffed on every shift. And that is just on the east end of the state..... The west end where all the oil is is 20 times worse by far... They had to close the inside of a Mcdonalds just to keep the drive-thru open. Even then there was a line of cars a block down the street waiting an hour just for some food.

Point is... Unemployment is around 2.8% here but that number is actually closer to 0 because if you want a job, you will not have trouble getting one around here.

I went out to Williston with my brother a while back. Got into town about midnite after visiting some family. It may has well have been noon for the traffic. What use to be the edge of town is 2 miles from the edge of town. There was a half hour wait for the water trucks headed to the Trenton Basin. Nuts out there!
