This thing is called the Skyliner

This story is reminding me of the last couple of recent fist-fights at Disney or other amusement parks or carnivals I've read about, too

Our Ski Patrol training always included lift extraction. We weren't as high as gondolas out west or Europe, but strategies are put in place.

Jabba, how long do they let you sit up there before they get you out?

Depends on the location, terrain, weather...etc

Basic 2-3 person lift, we could shoot the line over the cable, hoist up the t-bar, instruct the guest on how to scoot themselves onto and strap into the t-bar, push off of the chair and hold on to be lowered in approx 10-15 min.

Larger resorts and places with Gondolas, rescue would sometimes climb the stansion tower to get to the stuck group.
