the fact that the NYT Bailed on Failure with the recent "some airplanes did a thing" indicates beyond doubt that the Conniving schemers know full well that if they carried on with that line of reasoning we would rightfully compare that nonsense with "gun violence"

you will never get a liberal to read through this. they don't have the intellectual honesty to read things that do not reinforce their world view

How do you protect yourself from tyranny within?

Say the Muslim brotherhood legally and quite rightly forms a milita but for some reason it turns a bit sour when they realize they can push people around.

What is in place to prevent that?

I think you’re forgetting one thing:

They have access to Fully Semi-Automatic Milk crates. So there’s that.

The .223/5.56 is essentially a varmint round. Otherwise why all the research into making it MORE effective on heavier targets? Why was the .223 not allowed in many states for deer hunting?

The army wanted a light rifle and light ammo. That's what they got.

A push in the late 1950s toward a lightweight rifle with lightweight ammunition led to the adoption of the 5.56mm, based on the .223 Remington round, typically used for small game or varmint hunting in the United States.

At the time, the lightweight, high-velocity rounds were considered more accurate, causing more devastating wounds from the tumbling of the round and fragments, and an effect known as “hydrostatic shock” — though a number of critics have since disputed both assumptions.

None of that refutes anything I said. Eugene Stoner did NOT pick the AR as the military's new rifle & he did not invent the round & the military DID select the new round. Yes it was so they could carry more ammo as compared to 308/7.62, but that wasn't the point. Now someone else can come along & post even more information about the AR family that also more than likely has nothing to do with what I was addressing.

Huh?

Not trying to refute what you said. I agree with what you said.

Armed citizens, the Second amendment, Castle Doctrine laws, "stand your ground" laws and the fact that it is illegal for a militia group to "push people around". That is, in the US.

We have these guys who are like the milita but have a tests to make sure they are not screaming nut cases.

We call them the military.

You know actual soldiers who protect the country. Rather than cosplay soldiers.

And who protects you from them, once the gov’t labels you as the enemy and sends them after you?

Or maybe not you, but your grandkids, or theirs.

You can’t predict the future government will be benevolent, no matter how wonderful you think they are now.

But based on history, we can almost certainly predict, at some point in the future, it will cease to be so. And sometimes, that can be awesome in its depravity. Just ask the Jews. Or the Armenians. The Chinese. The Russians. Or the South Africans of European descent.

You SURE you trust the guys with the guns to be on your side, every time, forever? Lots of people have died when that was proven to be the lie.

AR's are 'military grade weapons'. That is the exact definition of what is protected under the 2nd A.

The 'Rats are demonstrating why the 2ndA was deemed necessary.

The public should have military grade weapons. The inordinate cost for licensing to get a fully automatic belt fed is unconstitutional in my mind.
