Fred is my friend. I WILL get a selfie with him one of these days. It's bad enough he will eat out of out hands almost.

The pic isn't the greatest but the food was excellent.

That's fillets done on the grill in a heavy butter garlic sauce with bacon. Just one strip of bacon per foil pack.....beautiful stuff. Fried red skins.

Good stuff.

I would guess it was in that neighborhood. Well beyond legal so I didn't measure it to be honest.

The crappie fishing from shore is hit and miss. I can usually follow the shad to get into the schools of white bass which often will score a striper or two but then wandering crappies are tough to pin down.

Still, the ones I've gotten have been really nice, like the one in that pic. Guts just full of shad.

In my case the crappie fishing from shore is 100% miss since I can't seem to hook them . Think I'll stick to those white bass that like me lol

I came to this thread to grab the pic of Fred. I miss Fredrick.

I really hope someone didn't eat him and if they did that he was tasty. 😂
