I am not trapping fur, but the coyotes are getting out of control here, so I might be controling predators.

Setting a few cat traps but thats about all. Small female and not too good looking so I cut her loose. Coyotes are bringing $30 -$60 here so they are getting worked over pretty good.

Racoons got my chickens. So far this week, I have caught 4 in a box trap. Just set it out 5 days ago. haven't seen any coyotes lately? I shot 4 last year. I'll check the scope on a couple of 22 centerfires and get to work when they start coming around. I'm pretty sure commercial trapping is illegal in California. Hell everything is against the law except illegal aliens

No one traps here anymore. I'm looking to next season. Fur is pretty valueless it seems. But here in Southeastern Oklahoma we have a much lesser grade of fur. There is a vast amount of varmints here. I'm trying to get settled in here and would greatly love to get back to trapping. if one was to tan his own hides there is a very large market.

Still can trap in Alabama, not many people do. I just wanted to learn how to do it in case the SHTF. I've caught a coon and two possums in have-a-heart live traps in my back yard. Town creek nearby. I released them in the country further out of town near a creek.

I want to try snaring squirrels during hunting season. Though about coyotes where I hunt.

We have been - just for the fun of it. No profit. Here, leg hold traps are illegal and conibears can only be used under water. So we set snares.
