Smile Hello from JAPAN!

Hi everyone, I am Shiori, 25 years old, woman, from Japan. I came to US last year and I've been here for almost a year.
Since I experienced great earthquake that happened in Japan in 2011, I got very interested in prepper, survivalist, those kind of things.

I look forward to swapping ideas with you all!!

Shiori, I read a story from a Japanese prepper a little while back! She did not mean to be a prepper but she was anyways.

She did not have much storage room in her small apartment, especially as she had a husband and children. But, she was fond of baked beans and so she had a case of them under her bed, and she only took them out for treats.

The tsunami came, the stores closed, and they lost power But, they ate well because they had the case of beans under the bed. After a couple of days they decided to move to her in-laws place, and her in-laws had a small garden. Her husband and father in law left every day to do what needed doing, and they also brought back whatever food they could get. Between that and the garden and the beans she and her family were not hungry, and they were able to share a little with the neighbors.

Prepping can be lovely: last year we were hit with 2 major blizzards and we were snowed in, so I used the preps to fix large pots full of soup for whoever wanted some. My son shoveled a lot of the snow and he was very glad to come in and eat as much soup as he wanted!
