VA could be loss cause, a lot of folks talk big there but have gone PC now. They even watch their 1st Amendment slip away.

Anticipating your protest was why I also included this quote:

Quote:

The decision also argued that the Missouri Compromise legislation — passed to balance the power between slave and non-slave states — was unconstitutional. In effect, this meant that Congress had no power to prevent the spread of slavery

All so let me point out that what I was attempting disprove was this:

Congress did.

Court did, proof already provided.

The Libertarian Party of Virginia alleges that Senator **** Saslaw is misusing his power to propose SB16, which purports to criminalize hundreds of thousands of lawful firearm owners for an improper political purpose. We want to preemptively deescalate potential conflict resulting from this legislation by taking the issue to the courts, where the Second Amendment will inevitably be reinforced. Our law enforcement officers should not have to decide between their neighbor and Saslaw’s unconstitutional law. No human being should be imprisoned for their right to bear arms.

We need 5,000 signatures of registered voters from the 35th Senate district and $20,000 to get this petition to court. In the name of Liberty…
Hmm. Seems D.I.C.K withdrew his bill yesterday. I wonder if he noticed the recall?

But this is just a bait and switch as we all know. The real battle is HB961

Cujet rightly posted in another thread that even though he withdrew his bill, there is a more restrictive bill in the house. HB961. My opinion, he did it for show, knowing there is a backstop in the pipeline.

Except that I did not offer a definitive statement upon such. Please reread the post, especially the now highlighted word that indicates a mere, albeit educated, opinion about the Dred Scott matter.

Whether you want to cop to the opinion or not the second section covers my original intent.

I didn't, and still don't disagree with it. I merely offered an opinion by expounding upon the subject by stating that in the face of the law in effect of the time, the action should have, by strictly as a matter of law, been immediately dismissed by the district court, as well as every other court within the line of appeal.

I’m in Virginia, but I’ll be out of town on the 20th. It’s almost to the point these Nazi “representatives” need to be physically removed from office for violation of the 2A and there are laws in VA against “stealing” property in excess of $500.00. Representatives should fear the voters and they need to taste some of that fear…I can’t believe VA let this happen first, but if the Supreme Court doesn’t get involved, they are a threat to the Constitution.

Those of us not from VA, should pay close attention as this is the playbook of the Socialists and they're going to spread this disease to every state...I hope VA fights back, even if it turns kinetic.

I think this should be the philosophy of those going to the rally on the 20th.

I wonder what would happen if some (just a few) average citizens asked for a meeting. On their way in the building they ask a couple LEOs to please follow them. Upon arrival they turn to the LEOs and state they would like to make a citizens arrest on a treasonous government official(s). Maybe have some media in tow to boot....
