Yes it is but also a reason visitors should call first. To avoid getting shot and/or having to gouge their eyes out. LOL

Been spending quite a bit of time in LAX. Home now. On vacation this week. Oh did I need this. Just lounging around.

I heard about that! Talk about a pair! Now that is a pair!

Surprised LAPD didn't send their chopper over there.

LOL, there were reports from two different aircraft apparently. Getting sucked into a turbofan or bisected by a wing tends to be a self-correcting problem. Of course there's always wake turbulence....hehheh

I don't know what LAPD is flying, LASD is using Super Pumas now. They used to use the SH-3 Sea Kings but my favorite was the H-34's. Nothing like a Wright radial engine!

Yep things are going well up here. We continue to miss out on those hot temps down in the Valley. In fact it appears our summer is ending with temps dropping nicely overnight.

Still seeing construction stuff going out past our place.

Had a bit of excitement a week ago when a C130 came over the house not much above roof top level. I went outside and thought we were going to witness a crash but they just continued on into the distance.

Ordered few cords of wood delivered a week ago and that turned into a goat rope over price/quantity. Ended up with some Alligator Juniper but not the Oak. I'm still looking to lay in some more but one possible source is in Alaska til end of the month and waiting to hear back from another. I am open to suggestions of suppliers willing to deliver to St Johns.

There is a bit of a restaurant war going on here it seems. We had a new BBQ place open in what used to be TLC's Restaurant. Which apparently took it into its head to also offer pizza. So the Pizza place has now started offering burgers as well...DAMN good ones I might add. The BBQ guy had started by working with Rest-Ur-Rump first and we sampled his offerings there. Wasn't impressed but might try it again in new place to see if it improved. But let me reiterate for anyone coming this way, Ditty's Pizza (now in the old Whiting Bro's Quick Stop location) offers a GREAT burger on top of their outstanding pizza.

I trust y'all will excuse my continuing vicarious interest in my AZ BOL, in Concho Valley.

I like reading / hearing about what's happening or not happening. I am after all a paid-up landowner :-

Although at the time a property in St Johns was my preference, the upfront cost was higher than The Budget.

The latest driveby an acquaintance did for me of my land in Concho Valley (near the Dollar General) shows the property in good fettle and the cache(s) looking undisturbed.

Also, my additional preps are still intact nearby and the monthly rental for the small storage space is fortunately still affordable - after all when the WuFlu hysteria finally dies down, I hope to be back, especially as I still have a motorsickle hostage in Phoenix!

All the best

HOT over here in PV! Good grief, was 102 of Saturday.

Doing good. The smell of BBQs everywhere.

Oh, had a great local Trump Rally. Long caravan of cars and pickups; ALL flying Trump 2020, US, and KAGA flags. Was an awesome sight. Definitely Trump Country up here.

Barbecue? I did sirloin on the grill Saturday, didn't even have to turn the flames on As I recall it might have been 11-something according to the temperature thingie on the porch but after fifty+ days of that ****, I kinda lost track I haven't noticed the annual uptick in snowbirds here out west but they'll be along any day now....LOL

78 degrees with 30ish mph breeze blowing the wildfire smoke into our area and stirring up lots of dust.

Supposed to start raining at some point which will drop the temp further.

Moved a stack of firewood up into the rack on my porch to get it out of the open and ready for use.

Added freon to truck's AC system yesterday but looks like I won't need it until next year now.

Raining and temp is 67 now.

Correction....54

Update...48 at 20:30.

My dogs took it upon themselves to escape today. It had been really nice and I guess they wanted to go on a walk around. They came home a few hours later hating life all wet and cold. LOL

Steve, looks like it started raining earlier there than Lakeside yesterday. Came on to ask if you got any of that storm I tried to send you way yesterday evening. Gave me some dime sized hail and rained like crazy for a little while. And yeah, the temps dropped like a rock.

This week we have started to cool down somewhat. Highs near 99 and lows around 70 for the rest of this week.
