I use Surefire CR123A's. They have a 10 year shelf life and they seem to last a long time.

You can use Energizer Ultimate Lithium Batteries.

Batteries of different chemistry are required for high surge current and short load duration, as required for digital and burst radio transmission, or flash photography versus LED flashlights of low load but long duration.

Durcells for cameras or handheld radio, Energizer for flashlights.
