Of course not, probably not even a major player, in the grand scheme of things (Mt. St. Helen's probably impacted weather more than man did in 1980 by a HUGE factor)....but to discount man's impact is ignoring reality.

That's a fine bit of speculating, indeed. Far from settled science or a reason to turn back the benefits of the industrial revolution or abdicate sovereignty to global taxation.

Crapping in your pants is not climate change. It's polluting your local environment.

It's like saying the Chernobyl accident caused climate change. Pollution is normally an easy fix by stopping or diluting.

Yes, glaciers proceed and recede. They do so in rhythm with the cycles of climate change. Is there some effect created by man. Yeah, likely so, but the reality is that we aren't that big a factor. As indicated volcanic activity from one single eruption can dwarf anything that man can do to change the climate. Likewise whether or not it is a La Nina, or an El Nino year, whether or not there is subdued or extraordinary solar activity are all vastly more significant than man's impact on the weather.

Right now we are in a warming trend (although not for the last 15 years or so). Sooner or later we will be in a cooling cycle.

As for changing shorelines, well, they too have been changing for eons. Remember the estimate maps of the world during the various geologic ages? Remember Pangaea? Just like the weather, the geology of the earth changes over time. Enjoy the ride!

I think you must be confused.

You must be thinking about CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC. These are the fake news sites with proven track records of deliberately lying. InfoWars may not be the gold standard, but it is certainly not of any lower standard than of these site.

Glad to be of assistance to you.

It’s amazing people still fall for chicken little the sky is falling crap. How many times can these progressive alarmist with a clear anti western agenda fool people. It’s says a lot about criticaL thinking these days.

Back in 2013 when my son was in an expensive, nationally prominent undergraduate school, my son got in an argument with one of his alarmist professors. His professor was saying that all the glaciers would be gone by the end of the decade. My son, obviously knowing about glaciers from living in Alaska argued that he was wrong. The professor made comments in the classroom asking my son how it felt to be ignorant.

This past summer my son sent him a postcard he had made of him standing on the massive glacier that I can see from my window. The postcard said “Nope, they are still here. How does it feel to be a DUMB ASS?” He also sent a letter to the school newspaper that was a little bit more professional about the subject, but it was never published.

Your son should send a letter to the university's board. Not asking the professor be fired but just stating the facts. The board is far more likely to work behind the scenes.

And then there's Jane Fonda, I picked this up in a Daniel Greenfield article;
Quote:
Every so often, Fonda leaves her Century City luxury condo to fly 2,311 miles to Washington D.C. to protest for the environment. Each of these trips by Fonda generates more CO² than an average person in Madagascar produces in one year. At these ‘Fire Drill Fridays’, she arranges to get herself arrested (with all the CO² emissions that entails) along with other California celebrities to demand that everyone save the planet by submitting to the poverty, misery, and destruction of the Green New Deal.

With respect, I’d say that they have succumbed to the dreaded clickbait disease. Just because I happen to agree with the slant doesn’t mean I’m going to take their word for it.
Alex Jones is just trying to earn a dollar and the more fantastic the claims the more clicks he/they get.

Slick Willy and the Clinton Crime Syndicate certainly are scum but that doesn’t mean I’m buying the whole “pizzagate” story just because Alex/Infowars says it’s true.
That also doesn’t mean they can’t put out real news once in a while but they do put a bunch of “My momma got kidnapped by an alien” type stories out there to pay the bills.

IMO.

11 years baby. Reset it for 11 years when we all die.

Of course, if we're dead, do glaciers matter?

So, when it was named Glacier National Park, there were about 150 glaciers.
Now there are about 25.
So, someone's calculations were a little off but the trend is crystal clear.

Right, and that trend is the climate changed before man came along and it will continue to change after man is gone.

And that wasn't too long after the Little Ice Age when worldwide temps were much colder than average for 500 years. Glaciers tend to like cold weather.

Little Ice Age circa 1300 AD to 1850 AD

In 1966, there were only 35 glaciers in the park. Most of the melted glaciers melted during the highest temps of the 20th century, which was the 1930s.

Melting Glaciers

Yes, the trend is clear. It's a natural trend. No one knows how many glaciers were in the park during the Roman Warm Period circa 250 BC to 400 AD or the Medieval Warm Period circa 950 AD to 1250 AD, when average worldwide temps were warmer than today. The answer may be zero.

Roman Warm Period circa 250 BC to 400 AD

Medieval Warm Period circa 950 AD to 1250 AD

Climate changes. Always has, always will. With or without humans. The only thing humans can do about it is to throw money at the issue and enrich climate scientists who claim man is the cause.
