Felt it... wiggled the furniture.

In Boise things left the walls and cabinets came open.

That report says SW of Boise but it was actually NE of Boise. Looks like IVO Stanley ID.

I'm in Northern Idaho, I didn't feel anything and I was standing outside. GF and Daughter say they felt it sitting in the car. Friends farther north in WA say they felt it.

Moved my house all over the place up here in Latah county. I am hearing reports from people in Montana feeling it as well...

Apparently it was a 6.5 centered 78 miles north east of Boise in Challis Idaho. Lasted 52 seconds and was 6.5 miles deep so at a relatively minimal depth. I don't think it moved the house quite as sharply as that one in Montana, that last one had my floor rolling a wave under my feet. This one just pushed the house side to side with long hard swings, felt like a giant grabbing the peak and shoving over two or feet and then pulling it back.

Not terribly far from it, the quake rattled Idaho and 7 surrounding states, so Yellowstone certainly felt it...

I didn't feel anything. I live in the center of Missoula, MT. When we had a decent one years ago it wasnt felt at my house then but my girlfriends house up on the hill did two big swings.
I think there is something different about this old lake bed that makes up the valley...?

Default 6.5 Earthquake in Central Idaho

Felt far and wide. I am in south eastern Oregon, and hour west of Boise and it rolled through here, just before 6pm.
It lasted 40 seconds maybe longer. It was rolling. Nothing fell or disturbed in my house that I have found. I haven't felt a big one in a while, it was kind of cool. With all the focus on Covid19 in my world, it was kind of a nice distraction. Of course, all the neighbors came outside to chat about it! I got caught in last night's jammies... it hit just before 6pm. lol. oh well, I have the most days of any of them in isolation. ;

Anyone else feel it?

Friend in the Wood River valley south of Hailey sure felt it. Epicenter about 20 miles NNW of Stanley. People in Stanley say no major damage.

Appears to have been a very powerful one at 6.5, followed by about 8 aftershocks greater than 2.5.

Same here (also in Latah). Just got home and sat down for a minute to BS with the kid. Right around 1655 some shaking started, but not super aggressive. I looked at him, he looked at me, and it went on for almost a minute. I was surprised at the lack of damage, not even any books falling off shelves. No damage around town, no car alarms going off. Folks I talked to who were themselves moving around didn't feel it, while those who happened to be still at the time did. Of course, the facebook lights up with everyone wondering what's up.

I've lived here my whole life, only the third one I've experienced, the second I've felt. Back in '83 it was just before I got up to go to school, shook my bed. Second time was '94 I think, saw coveralls on hangers swaying around lunchtime.

Like we don't have enough going on with the lockdown, and the annual spring "party mix" weather.

Felt it here in nampa, ID. I now have 7 cracks in my foundation as of this morning. Nothing over 1/8” so I’m not too terribly worried.
