Default Trailer of a movie

Here's a trailer of a movie titled 'Remnants'... a survival story being filmed in NC. Anticipated release is late Spring 2011.

Drives the point home well, I think.

Is it here yet?

Stop touching me!

Trailer is interesting; ,,, however, trailers do not define the movie experience.

Waiting for the release to make further comment.

Just watched this trailer. Very plausible. I look forward to seeing it when it hits the theater. And for the previous users comment...of course the movie defines the experience; this is only a trailer, after all. And it did what it was required to do, and that is to generate interest in the movie. No one pays to see a trailer.

Thanks for the personal reply!

I think you just restated what I already said...

To clarify, it seems that the trailer for this movie might contain most of the best of the movie. I'm certain that I am not the only one here to have fallen into the trap of paying for a movie, that was already contained in the movie trailer. The trailer was more entertainment, shorter, and as you said FREE!

So, I'm curious about the movie, but I am cautiously pessimistic. If I am wrong, I will end up pleasantly surprised!

How many here go to the movies all amped up and excited to watch the movies they pay to see? This attitude is only asking for future disappointment!

The movie is what it is. In the past (before all the modern Internet connectivity) it would take a week to hear about how a movie experience is compared to the trailer that compelled the movie goers to pay to watch it. In todays world, the movie experience is broadcast to the world via the Internet only moments after the final credits are shown.

embrachu, do you yourself plan to watch the movie on opening night based on the trailer?

Yes, sometimes the trailer contains a lot of good movie bits. However, someone still has to see the movie to verify if there's anything else worth watching and if I end up paying for that and it's a farce then that's just how things work out. Someone's got to pay to see it, and everyone has their own impressions anyhow. I enjoyed "The Road" while a great many on this forum seem to think it sucked; they thought it was boring, not "realistic" (now that's funny), etc. A movie is good based on personal perspective, and not just on a few facets.

I almost never watch a movie on opening night, simply because I don't want to have to deal with the crowds. Generally I wait a few days as a rule. And if I plan to see a movie I make my own judgements as to whether it's good or not; I never take a critic's opinion to heart. I enjoyed "Waterworld" while most critics didn't like that one either.

Thumbs up

I will go and see this because -
1) Interesting Storyline in a genre I enjoy (lots of info on web)
2) Independent project, free of lamestream control
3) Presents Preparedness in positive light
4) Presents Second Amendment & defensive arms use in positive light
5) Presents marriage, families and community involvement in positive light

Any one of these criteria fulfilled is better than 99% of the stuff in theaters, on TV and on DVD/Video.

I don't go to the movies. Too crowded. Don't like people coughing on the back of my head.

I wait for the videos and watch it at home. By then I usually know if I really want to watch it or not.

I can relate to the trailer being the movie.

Seems a bunch of movies put all their big special effets scenes in the trailer, then your dissapointed when you pay for the movie because you've seen all the big scenes already...

Guess they are still looking for a distribution deal. I hope they find one or release it to DVD. This trailer was chilling to me because what I saw rang so true to my vision of what we may face sometime soon.

The music in that trailer is just beautiful.......the sirens at the end really work in well. Real chills up the spine/hair on the back of the neck stuff.
I am HANGING out for this movie...........even if only for the cinematography and the score.

Looks kinda hokey, but I'd give it a shot if they had any way to get it out. A distributor? I'm thinking they could just cut out the middle man and burn their own dvd's a lot cheaper.

Not holding my breath on this one.

got to watch it and it was ok.

Good but not great. Though for the budget better than most out of hollywood.

Kind of like a quick version of "lights out" or "one second after"
