Kind of reminds me of the cover that Stihl uses for hedge trimmers and such. Now the real question is ... what will it be next?? What can you make now using it???

What type of business was the dumpster at? That might be a major clue.

Well Captain Obvious, that was my first thought. But the company has no name on the building...and I am only around there long after they are closed for the day.

It isnt like any cable cover I have ever installed, maybe a start to figuring it out. But you gave me an idea. I need some type of threshold on the front door at my cabin. This is just about as perfect as I could hope for. There are at least 4 different colors. Can change out for party themes or seasons.

I installed a very similiar material on boats into an aluminum fixture that covered the top and bottom halves joint.

I dont have a clue what it was used for. Maybe one of you have seen it somewhere.

Working on ideas in my head for where this could be put to use on my cabin. Possibly work for bumper on a dock. Maybe use it as trim around the deck that still hasnt been built yet. Any ideas you might have would be great to hear.

Most of these drops are between 5 and 6 feet long.
Roll up door threshold?

Thatís a good guess but the large number of drops or cutoffs makes me think itís either a chair rail or corner guard type bumper or possibly shipping protectors for pallet goods or machinery/equipment.

Either that or itís a hamster luge track as someone already pointed out.

Look up the address and do a Google on it. If you don't know the exact address, get close on google maps and try street view to see if you can get closer. Almost any company will come up with enough to hint at what they do.

Pretty obvious it is some kind of protective cap.

Looking at something on homedepot's site today I saw this... Looks similar to me. Could that be the plastic version? Maybe.
