Another thing to remember is, do you wear the same socks in the winter and summer?

One size fits with summer will be aweful tight with wool winter socks.

Made by the lowest bidder. Never liked them. Get you some real snow boots to keep your feet from freezing.

Consider what kind of feet you have first. I tried them years ago when I worked construction. They didn't seem to breath well enough and my feet sweat so badly my socks were wet at the end of the day. Another guy I worked with liked them but his feet didn't sweat like mine

I used them in Marine Corps cold weather survival school in Bridgeport CA. Needed a size larger than my normal boot size.

Best boot for cold weather I have ever used, and I worked construction out doors in the Midwest winter.

Combine that with poly pro long underwear, goretex and a wool jacket liner. You got a unbeatable combination for even arctic cold.

2 weeks in the snow at minus 0 and i was comfortable as could be. Worst part of the cold was when had to disrobe to take a dump.

one size larger, they dont breath at all. nothing else works at 50 below. in Alaska we were them to church and social occasions, like weddings. their heavy, you get use to it. feet get hot wear them loose. Get ones that say BATA, lot of cheap knockoffs. should cost about $60-70 for a new set. They fit USGI skis and snowshoes too. I wear out a pair every 3 years or so.

oh, dont buy the black ones, you want White bunny boots.

They serve a purpose. That said unless you plan to spend extended times at -0f then there are probably more comfortable options out there.
