The lockdown has really zapped my strength! Here I thought doing my pushups, squats and such, I'd be good....*buzzer* nope, didn't go as planned...

Warm ups X2

Flat bench, barbell press (first humiliation of the day)
135X10X2 good warm up
225X8
245X7X 3 sets going for sets with bodyweight...that's all I could get..

Flat bench dumbbell press
60X10
80X10X3 sets (that was tough, I couldn't go much higher) 2nd humiliation of the day

Pulldowns
125X10X2 sets
150X10X3 sets, light, but it was pretty easy..

Low pulls, narrow "V" handle
150X10X2 sets
175X10 didn't feel bad, but not great either.

Farmers walk
50# kettle bell 1 lap (176 yards) with right hand, 1 lap with left hand, burning pretty bad by the time I got to the line.

Bike 20 minutes hill routine

It seems the only thing that I kept 80% or better of my strength is arms (Biceps/Triceps) heavy lifts, are way down. I've got a lot of work to do..

That's the odd part, after the shoulder surgery, and no lifting at all for 6 months, I came back really quickly, not loosing much at all.

Then, after prostate surgery, 2 months away, and of course the pandemic, I get slammed.

It's nothing but a step for a stepper though huh! Just got to get back at it and persevere thru the hard part. Getting old isn't for the weak!

Just winging it, I did some Bi's and Tri's today, nothing serious, just trying to get back in the groove.

Warm ups X2

Roman chair
3X10, taking it somewhat easy, getting used to it again.

Standing dumbbell curls
40X10
50X10X3 sets, third set wasn't fun..

Standing dumbbell hammer curls
45X10X3 sets
50-45-40 one set, 5 at each weight, drop one, pick up another

Triceps pushdowns
50X10 worked my way down the stack
60X10
70X10
80X10
90X10
10010X3 sets

Incline skull crushers with curl bar
60X10 way to light
70X10 still to light
80X10X2 sets, light, but a good finishing point for this week

Dumbbell overhead extensions
35X10X2 quick sets

Bike
20 minutes on Hill routine, I've got to save some for momma's inevitable walk tonight.

Legs day today, but I had to cut it short, to many issues> Hopefully next time I'll get thru it okay. I'm hoping it was something as simple as drinking to much soda yesterday. I was out a lot yesterday and so drank a lot of soda, my urologist says it's an irritant to the bladder, I'm hoping it's that simple, no more soda!

warm ups X2

ab wheel
3X10

Standing dumbbell front raises (all leg equipment was taken)
30X10
35X10X3 sets, grip vertical

Seated dumbbell side raises
25X10X3 sets

Leg extension
3X10

Leg press
200X20
300X20
400X10X3 set, I was having enough issues at 10 reps that I didn't want to do 20, even though the weight was light.

No bike, or farmers walk today, depressed I left. I'll hit it harder next time.

Isn't it a bit funny how we are able to moderate or abstain later in life because of how things affect us?

I find myself saying "no" to foods and drinks because at 52 years old they make me feel bad.

chest/back day today, and while it wasn't great, it's getting better. I also saw how much I need to work on stamina, a few good sets and and next exercise suffers too much.

Warm ups X2

Flat bench, dumbbell press
50X10 starting light because of last time
70X10 still feeling pretty easy
90X10 excellent, things are getting back on track
95X10 not easy, but WAY better than last week (heavy 80's)

Flat bench, barbell press
185X10
225X7
245X5X3 sets still not optimum, but it's getting better, I'm on track..

Pulldowns, wide straight bar
125X10
150X10X4 sets, not hard, but not easy either, the mind/muscle link wasn't there.

Narrow grip pulldowns
150X10X3 sets, this felt much better, but was still lacking

Ab wheel
3X10, it takes a few weeks of being consistent but these will do wonders for back pain.

Arms day today, and it wasn't bad, getting better every workout.

Warm ups X2

Triceps push downs, "V" handle
70X10
90X10
stack X10X3 sets

Close grip bench
135X10
150X10
205X7X3 sets, not bad, elbows in tight, 11" width in the grip, felt good

Incline lying triceps extensions
80X10
90X10X3 sets. Still not to heavy but getting there, getting the feel for these.

Standing dumbbell curls
40X10
50X10X3 sets, 3rd set was better than last time, felt good.

Standing dumbbell hammer curls
45X10 to heavy, getting tired
40X10X3 sets, the lighter was better, kept form good

Dumbbell preacher curls
40X10
30X10X3 sets, the lighter weight allowed me to keep form strict.

Ab wheel (Pretty tired about now)
3X10. no standing, I'm not 44 Flattop

Legs day today, with a little shoulder work thrown in for good measure. I was really happy to see improvement here as well.

Warm ups X2

Leg extensions
150X10X3 sets

Leg press
100X20
200X10
300X15
400X20X2 Sets, first one did burn pretty good, but I love it..
500X15 I was going to go for 20 but was afraid I might empty if I did, 15 was plenty good.

Seated dumbbell side raises (a little shoulder work)
20X10X2 sets
25X10

Dumbbell front raises (thumbs up grip)
35X10X3 sets

Dumbbell bent raises (rear delts)
20X10X2 sets

I thought about doing some dumbbell overhead presses, my son did 90's the other day and I can't have the kid thinking he can out lift me..(It worries me to think that day may be here...)

95X9
100X8 not bad, but 10 was not happening, not today.

Flat bench, dumbbell press, parallel grip (Neutral position)
65X10X3 felt I could do 70's but they were taken, next time.

Pulldowns, narrow "V" handle
125X10X2 sets
150X10
175X10X3 sets

Pulldowns, wide straight bar

I tried to workout today, went to the "Y" and they wouldn't let me in!!!! #%$#! morons!

I was in my wife's car, since I was having a tire repaired on mine, and she didn't have any masks in her car, soooooo I drove back home, doing my best not to be enraged, and saving it for tomorrow... Sheeple...

Maxipad and two rubber bands. Surely she had a spare one in her car. Don't know a woman that doesn't.

I say that with humor and also with disdain.... cause I am fed up with this COVID junk.

I made it past the door guard today and finally got in a workout, although abbreviated, I still got one. I had to cut it short since I had previously promised my wife that I'd spend the day with her, she graciously let me go for a couple of hours.

Warm ups X2

Close grip bench (11" width)
135X10X2 sets need a good warm up anymore
185X10
205X10X2 sets
225X8X2 sets, not bad at all

Push downs, narrow "V" handle
80X10 way to light
stackX10X3 sets, still light, but it's all there is..

I wanted to do some incline triceps extensions, but all the inclines were taken, it was the wrong time of day to get in a good workout.

Standing dumbbell curls
35X10
50X10X3 sets, getting lighter all the time

Standing dumbbell hammer curls
45X10X3 sets felt pretty good today

Standing curl bar drag curls (trying something different)
80X10X2 sets

Ab wheel
3X10 I thought of cutting back the reps, I get sore here, not terribly anymore, but I don't get anything at 5 reps and don't know if I can do a standing rep, I guess I'd better get to finding out..

Just a quick and pretty easy leg day today, short on time so had to make it fast.

Warm ups X2

Leg press
200X10
300X10
400X20X4 Sets

Bike
20 minutes, interval routine

And out, the wife had things to do, and the grandkids are with us again tonight so I had to cut it short.

Arms/Shoulders day today, I was/am just plain tired so I passed on shoulder for today. I needed to spend more time on triceps anyway, my left elbow was starting to bother me and I wanted to keep working it, but do something that hopefully wouldn't aggravate it.

Warm ups X2

Close grip bench press (11" width)
135X10X2 sets
185X20 This set, and the next few were really good, felt great.
185X16
185X12
165X16

Pushdowns medium width "V" handle
70X20X3 sets

Standing dumbbell curls
35X10
50X10X3 sets

Standing dumbbell hammer curls
45X10X2 sets
40X10

Ab wheel
3X10

I'm just dead tired today, not sure why, I'm hydrated really well, but anyway, hopefully I can make up shoulders with legs on Friday.
