50 pounds of gold coins. A water purifier. My rifle(with ammo of course). If ammo disqualifies, then a good knife or axe.

Well considering my knife has a sheath with 2 other items on it I guess just my knife with ferro rod and sharpener but if we consider knife with case 1 item than my other 2 would be water filter and my bow

But in the one survival situation I did have I only had my knife and a nalgene bottle as well as a fishing rod with my yak so I can attest for my knife doing alot of my work from crafting to building a fire to stay warm to shelter and mostly everything was done with a knife

A knife.
A pot.
A ferro rod.
Of course if I got caught with so few items I would truly be in dire straights. More is better...LOL

1-MY regular camping belt knife In the spirit of full disclosure, belt knife is a Cold Steel Bushman. The sheath has a pouch with the compass and ferro rod. On the knife, because the handle is too small for my paw, I have about 25 feet of snare wire wrapped around the grip along with about 25 feet of paracord. Still one item?

2- a pot with a lid

3- my SAS survival bow.

As I look into the kit on my hunting belt pack I find
A sierra cup
matches
a fixed blade knife
Upon occasion there is also an emergency poncho and space blanket.
Of course my day pack contains more stuff as I'm hunting. your survival pak must match your area and season. I consider the survival pak to be a one to two day help.

It wouldn't take me three minutes to figure out three items is not enough, that thought would be instantaneous...
On the bright side, having three items means you're a third of the way to having the ten essentials.

Likewise, I have a cool multi-tool that is a mini-torch, knife, bottle opener and corkscrew.

I don't feel like looking back through the whole thread but I'm pretty sure someone must have said;

One bourbon

One Scotch

And one beer.

para cord
big knife
firestarter

It can be tough for a bit but odds are can forage for trash to get a can, etc even in remote wilderness we seem to have trash along water sources as streams, rivers, and creeks

Just a thought but I use Zipper pull for little stuff like, thermometer, compass and ferro rod. I even have a little pack tool on one.
The inside of the pack has important stuff.
