Default Ever lined up shots at a bar????

Advertise Here

This would be team building with your buddies. Ever lined up a dozen or three shot glasses of _________ booze in a bar for your friends for __________ reason? Just curious. OK, I have a couple times. Been on the recieving end a couple more times. Cant do tequila anymore as a result of one in Texas. Ohio is drowning in Bourbon and Vodka, thats most of mine. Woke up in jail one time with no memory getting there, to this day! Anyone else?????

My husband, for a while there, was drinking about a fifth a day of the hard stuff. He would scoff at the idea of doing shots, he goes straight to the bottle and chugs.

If he gets really drunk I put the seatbelt on him as he sits in the wheelchair.

I HAVE been "drunk" once in my life. NOT intended.
Just cruising along nicely at a mellow low grade buzz when my allergies kicked in. Without thinking about it I popped an allergy pill.

AS the GF was driving me to her place, as I was ralphing all over the side of my corvette and close to delirious...I promised NEVER AGAIN...

and

never again.

CPO club......Dancer Wednesdays

Rang the bell on purpose a few times, most times just saunter into the "bar" with a cover on.

No never tried shots but I almost became a wino. Alcoholism runs bad on both sides of my family so I grew up watching drunks do all kinds of crap. When my daddy died he was going through a gallon of Wild Turkey a week on top of a couple cases of beer. But in his defense he was fighting Colon cancer, a spine that looked like swiss cheese with a bullet lodged in it, congestive heart failure and advanced rheumatoid arthritis.

Me, i'm a very quiet person, very rarely get ticked off at anything or anyone, stay to myself but after a half bottle of wine I turn into a mean ass, loud mouth, fight at the drop of stick, bitch. At least that's what i'm told. A quarter of the way in I black out. I and 1 other cousin out of 50 relatives that I personally know do that.

But I finally decided I better stop after waking up 1 morning with 2 black eyes and feeling like I got run over by a Mack truck. Seems I tried to take a 2 x 4 to woman from a motorcylce club, she took it away from me and used it herself.

That plus my ex who was a functional alcoholic was bad enough that somebody needed to be sober plus if I got drunk we'd wind up beating the crap out of each other and i'd try to kill him. So yea, all of that together I stopped drinking.

So yea, I don't drink anymore.

No, because I never treated booze like I was a giddy 14 year old.

I did back in my heavy drinking less productive years. Two good phases of life being a young soldier and college. Wouldn't do it again but wouldn't trade it (other than a few regrets).

Now I like my bourbon over ice rather than by the shot and chased with a beer.

At a bar, no. To expensive. My house, friends houses, strangers houses? Yep more times than I can count.

Fairly sure I have at least once. High chance of a couple of times. Not sure. You would probably get more 'yes' answers but this sort of thing isn't something most can remember clearly!

No, even when I drank I did not do shots. Don't like anything I ever tried. Now mixed drinks oth, they sometimes went down fast.

Yes. But usually not whiskey or straight liquor. We’ve had lots of parties with shooters like lemon drops or kamakazis etc.

Not in many years, but it was common to do in my bar years. I've ruined the finish on a couple pairs of boots with barf. The last time was July 3rd 1986... recall it well. I was doing shots of tequila with someone with MS at a barbecue where we rented. What I then realized was that me and tequila do not get along.

Now I stick to beer, nothing fancy either. I have 2 or 3 a day and call it quits.

I was watching a music video yesterday called whiskey glasses and got curious. I'm too much of a movement casualty these days to court disaster by adding booze to the mix. I went back to my first love a while back, caffiene. Getting old aint for wimps!
