I've done the same thing, countless times. Usually came out of my husband's pants. I have always had ONE rule about "laundered" money...if I find it in the wash, it's MINE! (As my "fee" for doing the laundry...)

I think they are legally required to take cash. If they donít, record the details, drive off and call the cops to advise what happened. If they have an issue they can sue you, but as you offered legal tender that donít have a leg to stand on. You might still be required to make payment, but you wonít be in trouble for them refusing legal tender.

Donít you guys have paywave? The card is only near the reader, it never touches anything.

Why are you all still shopping in stores? I have not been using cash because I am only shopping online. If you are shopping the greater risk is people you meet, not money.

I believe we'll eventually be a cashless society more or less in the future, but I don't believe they'll just announce it one day, without prior warning, & making everyones cash on hand worthless. The best information I have to date is that the "powers that should not be" want a block chain system, however, instead of a normal block chain like bitcoin, I heard they want to centralize it in a manner where only "they" will have access to everyone's private information.

Great way to avoid the people you owe money too...J/K
I'm pretty much the same but for different reasons. It makes life easier and I've always been a fan of the better mouse trap theory anyway. It's simply a better and easier way of doing things.

"Bitcoin says hi."

Anyone saying that doesn't understand bitcoin. Blockchains can be blocked every bit as much as any other electronic file.

Never been done, likely never will. Ban BTC and it's value will continue to rise outside the U.S.. BTC is a hedge against centralized banking, and as time goes on, you'll see it's value continue to climb. Just wait until governments start snatching it up just like gold, it'll happen.

I'd buy gold and silver before I bought bitcoin. Build tangible assets first then dabble in digital. Never attempt a high wire act without a safety net.

Here there is no problem in using cash anywhere. Also I don't worry that much about money being "dirty". When I go out, I always wear gloves, and I wash my hands when I get home. Any cash I got during the day from shopping, goes into an envelope with date, I don't go shopping that often. After 9 days, cooties are non active and I use the money next time I go shopping. So I have one place with money that's been stored longer term (clean) and "possibly dirty money" that I wait for just over a week to use

I draw money as soon as it gets to bank. I have no faith in the electronic system.

I just remembered another good reason to have cash, from a youtube I saw from Prepper princess, starting 1:25 mark, she actually uses cash as a way of negotiating lower price for stuff, like people working for her, or something that is a larger cost, she'll ask if they'll take a specified lower amount if it's cash, and often this works. She doesn't force the issue if people are not willing.

So I think that while there are a bunch of people that prefer to use cards, there are many many that prefer cash. Use it to our advantage

I've always thought cash back credit cards were a scam. Somebody is getting screwed on that deal and it isn't the card company and it isn't the vendor marking up prices to cover the cost of doing business...yep it's those getting cash back that are getting screwed...they're paying more and just don't know it.
