Typically I'll give them 20%...it's a company expense

I generally order many pizza's for meetings and such

I rarely order a pizza at home, it's been many years.

At least 20% I have a reputation for good tips and they know it. My pizzas are always super hot and fresh. You know who's pizza gets delivered first? The guy who tips well.

Back when I was delivering pizzas for a living for Domino's, a typical tip would be $1 to $3 dollars, but that was back in 1990.

I tip $5 on everything up to $25, then a loose 20% on everything else after that.

Depending on my mood and who delivers -- we've had a few delivery guys come back trying to get free stuff --

I usually try to do about 20 percent as well, BUT I am conflicted nowadays. They add a delivery charge for some pizza chains, and I am curious if that goes to the driver (will start tipping less obviously), or if that goes to the pizza chain only (tips will remain the same).

I tip well as I look at this way. I didn't have to go out to my car drive for 5-10 minutes if traffic and pick it up. What is that worth it to me. I really don't eat Pizza but my 15 year does and likes it. When he does chores and earns money I make him tip the driver to give him the lesson in What is life earning money. As he will be getting a real job soon and has to understand what it takes to earn real money, not Dad overpaying for a job around the house.

He's likely a big tipper when he orders pizza.

Having been a delivery driver in my youth and a customer, I try to give 25% to help make up for the cheapskates that don't believe the delivery guy deserves a tip for wearing out his car. When I lived in the US I always had good service.

Yup, you must be a repeat customer to get on the no-tip list... both my kids delivered pizza (Dominos) (Pizza Hut) and some of the stories they told about their coworkers handling of non-tippers orders were shocking.

Of course my kids claim that they didn't participate, but I have my doubts.
