I'm not clear on what their complaint is. The point of most protests is to draw attention to some injustice. It is not clear what they're after in this case unless they are truly unaware that armed robbery is frowned upon in Arizona.

"Hollins, 19, was fatally shot July 27 by a Tempe police lieutenant. The officer was pursuing Hollins after a robbery of a nearby Walgreens, Tempe police said. Pharmacy employees said the robber simulated a weapon and announced that he had one. But authorities later said he was not armed."

So lets review:

* Victim robs a Walgreens. Walgreens calls police.
* Victim tells Walgreens staff that he has a weapon, and simulates same.
* Victim runs away after robbing Walgreens with police in pursuit.
* Police are informed that victim stated he had a weapon, and
* Police respond with the belief that the robber is armed.
* A confrontation occurs and police shoot the victim.
* Victim dies.

There appears to be a clear Cause => Effect sequence here.

What are the protestors protesting? Armed robbery should not be illegal?

If you're black and you rob a Walgreen's you should get a pass?

Police should wait until armed robbers shoot at them before shooting back?

Walgreens should not call the police if robbed at gunpoint?

If you rob a Walgreen's at gunpoint you should not be shot by police?

Exactly what injustice are they protesting?
