My junk Charles Daly. 10,000+ rounds through it so far and no issues.

They are Hogue white pearl grips - rather inexpensive, but they sure look purdy!

I believe RIA sells a 9mm variant of their 1911s. I've heard nothing bad about them, and they are relatively inexpensive (for 1911s).

I also saw some Ruger SR1911s at the gun show recently for under $800.

In addition Taurus has a 9mm offering in the PT1911. That said I have spring and barrel sets for my .38 Super for 9mm and 7.62 Tokarev.

Wow I had never realized, until yesterday, how much of a drop the .45 acp has at 25 yards..it was about 6-8 inches with the 3.5 barrel citadel and the 3" para hawhg..no drop whatsoever with the other three full size ones

I'm a fan of the Pincus, but my edc Kimber and I would pass his challenge. I'm 6 months and 900 rounds since my break-in period with "flawless" after each range visit in my shot log.

Just one. Sold my SA 1911-A1 a month ago...

A good friend made me too good a deal on his "Dan". So I now once again have a 1911 pistol. This CBob is staying.
