Anyone else get a mod2? I shoot my XD9SC so much better than my glocks that I'm thinking about selling one to get a mod2 . . .

Default XD Compact

I carried a Glock at work for many years (not by choice). Upon retirement, I purchased an XD Compact in 40 cal....Best out of the box pistol I have ever shot. Great gun, no changes/additions and none planed. Couldn't be happier with the XD, Now planning on buying their 1911 compact.......

I don't have a lot of experience with handguns but I have had my xds 9mm for about a year and a half and have been nothing but happy with it. Easy to carry, accurate and easy to shoot. If I lost it today I would buy another one tomorrow.

My EDC kit as it currently stands. clips loaded with 9mm 125 grain jacketed hollow-points.
This is an original XD Service from 2004. Has handled thousands of rounds and is still straight as can be. Gonna add night sights one of these days

Youtube "Glock KaBoom" or ask any armorer what a Glock KB is. Scary that the problem is so well known that is has an abbreviation in the business.

We may all be forced to reload in the future and I sure won't have any gun that needs virgin brass.
This problem may or may not be limited to 40 and I don't care. 40 is my choice and Glock will never be in my collection again.
Yes, this design flaw is causing injuries.
I could be wrong but I thought only the XDm's had a fully supported chamber.
It was a long time ago but I remember reading that the Glock's ate the brass which was my argument for spending the extra on my XDm, since then picked up a XD-S too

Springfield XD's & variants have to be one of THE best.. under appreciated handguns made..less expensive than Glocks but such a better product..

Recently developed a taste for the two tone XD's... traded a trusty old Glock 27 for a new bi-tone XDs .45...
Would have preferred it in 9mm... but still feel I traded up..
Slide release...just like S&W MP's needs rounded for us old timers who were taught "combat" reloads & just can't unlearn and pull back the slide on a fresh magazine...only other complaint might be because of the recoil spring ...it takes a very good grip to rack that slide .. could see many ladies not liking that particular chore.. but it's a keeper..! ! !

Traded the .45 XDS for a duplicate in 9mm... less recoil on injured wrist... faster follow up hits...more ammo capacity... what's not to love...????

Noticebly thinner than Glock 26 with only 3 less rounds on board...

Plus it actually looks good... Glocks are functional, but ulitarian ...the XDs is a sharp looking item..

anyone know what the value of an XD 45 (circa 2010) barely used is worth. Cool platform, but after getting some 1911s it's not my cup of tea.
