They made it a law in Germany that you could not be a live Jew. 6,000,000 were convicted. The second amendment says I can carry a gun and I don't need no stinking badge to do so.

Don't put words in my mouth. I did't type any.

At least one other response here mentions to not get stopped, don't put yourself in that situation, avoid being singled out, avoid the masses, stay in the background, go around checkpoints, etc. etc.

A potentially good alternative to the super-secret-until-it-isn't compartment might be a cache. If you're lucky enough to catch a LEO in a stressed mood, a rational discussion about self security and responsible use might be in order. Otherwise - I'd venture to say that the realization of the authorities that you're actively trying to hide a weapon might be worse than a you expect.

You'd be better off keistering that Hi-Point ------in my opinion.

Cops hate two things the most:
1)Being shot at
2)Being lied to

You can count that no matter how, if you are searched, they will find your secret compartment. Now, do the math.

Any LEO that would confiscate a leagaly owned firearm when said citizen is not breaking the law should turn in their shield and go flip burgers. Lat being said having a hidden weapon on you if you are a ccw holder or your state allows it without a permit is fine. But lots of stated have laws against hidden compartments is vehicles i.e. "Traps". Remember some of us in law enforcement ( and mor than you think) think the say way as most of you. Don't be so quick to think its an us against them thing.

During martial law, all bets will be off. Just assume that any interaction with "security forces" will result in a search, and if they find a firearm (or possibly a knife or anything else they consider a weapon) you will be detained.

I see no reason to conceal it.

Before SHTF such a thing would challenge legality and potentially get you in trouble you don't need.

During and After SHTF such concealment will not be needed 99% of the time.

I don't see any reason to do such.

Well, since I live in Kansas, and we have laws against any local, state or Federal force confiscating guns... I'd do what I usually do and not be a jerk about it.
If TSHTF in reality, any uniformed folks still serving the public and not at home taking care of their own... shouldn't be viewed as an issue, but rather given some leeway for their commitment.

That leeway stops, where my Rights begin. It is what it is.

Hydration pack with neoprene cover, a block of foam & your imagination.
It should work quite well as it would still carry water & would be unnoticeable unless they ripped it apart.
Lots of packs have a hydration pocket built in, so put the whole thing in there...

Post hurricane Katrina, Rita and Wilma taught me one thing. Trust no one. With the corruption, confiscations by law enforcement and the military, you should be hiding things.

This can also get you into trouble, but in a situation where it is your life or someone trampling on your rights and possibly life, well that is a decision you should have already decided upon before.

Hiding places in luggage though, is not too effective. Hiding in sewer pipe, drainage ditches and false walls is a lot better.
