Hey there, I do a lot of hiking, climbing, diving. I also like to go caving, the only one i've really done though is the one up at Ape Caves in Washington. Any other awesome caves to explore in Oregon? I am from the Salem area so the closer the better. Thanks for the Read

We don't have much in the way of wild limestone caves; Oregon caves is pretty commercialized. We have a lot of lava tubes that are wild and free. Skeleton Cave near Redmond is easy to get to. There are quite a few between Bend and Chemult. If you head down to Captain Jack's Stronghold just across the border in California, you can explore a whole slew of lava tubes.

There are the Lava tubes south of Bend. There are Ice Caves up near China Hat from the La Pine side. There are also some up around Paulina Peak. The Fort Rock area has lots of exploring options including Fort Rock itself, Crack in the Ground, Devils Kitchen, etc. I know there are caves out there too.

I also know that there are many more in this area, but a lot of them are not marked and you have to be "in the know".
