Oh, and Jim, can you spend your final two weeks training Ahmet and Dweezil on the network provisioning? They start tommorrow now that their H1B visas have cleared.

I was going to retire May 1st, moved it up to April 17th. It was getting too hairy with 14 cases in about 200 that actually went into work. Plus I was getting nothing done with so many working remotely.

AND... I was on a failing program that needed every resource possible thrown at it for it to keep going. The program manager had been AWOL for weeks too. None of which were good signs, time to pull the rip cord.

I'm still getting my ducks in a row for the pension and lump sum that I will have invested. I will be taking SS in about 2 weeks.

Never stopped. Working the well pads north of Rock Springs I was told early on that I am considered "Essential personnel". Every one still needs natural gas.

No job to go back to, large IT company i worked for saw COVID coming out of China and did the whole "temp-layoff" then about 2 weeks ago everyone who was laid-off received an email stating their positions had been outsourced (to the middle-east of course) then were issued a severance....perfect timing because NOBODY is hiring at the moment.

I've been working since this craziness all started. I work for a utility company, but a lot of my co-workers have been out ,not because of the virus , they were able to stay home with full pay because of Matilda's Law that our NY governor passed . I only know of one person in my department that had the virus.

Iím kinda bummed. The government is offering truckloads of cash for businesses that have a reduced turnover of 30% on the same time last year. Problem is my workload has increased because more people are staying home playing their pianos only to discover theyíre out of tune and so call me for my services.

Itís been difficult to fit everyone in at the moment. Iím rejecting some inquiries as Iím only tuning for existing clients or new clients recommended by existing clients. Thereís only so much work I can do in a day, and Iím not working weekends.

I haven’t stopped working. Unless things get really crazy... I will continue to do so.
