Default Bag for Kel Tec sub 2000

Advertise Here

What kind of bag or pack do you use for a sub 2000? Had a guy show me a pack he had that had velcro straps for holding the carbine and elastic for mags. But I don't know the brand. Considering making an insert with straps to slip in the computer pocket on one.

Something like this may work:
Savior Equipment T.G.B 30" 34" Discreet Tactical Rifle Soft Case Multi-Firearm Carrier Shoulder Sling Pack Padded Bug-Out Bag For Concealed Carry - Low Profile, Hidden MOLLE Panel, Hook-N-Loop Webbing https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07H7W2FBZ..._LBGIDbRSV60J1

Or this:
UTG ABC Sling Pack 30" Multi-Firearm Case w/Electric Blue https://www.amazon.com/dp/B009WO46X2..._8CGIDbZXNY810

I'm considering one or the other for an AR pistol.

I have one that I purchased 15 years ago, specifically made for it. I'm not able to find another one like it now.

It has two internal compartments, one for the carbine and the other for the magazines, with four elastic loops to hold the mags. The size of it allows me to also keep 300 rounds of 9mm in 6 boxes.

From its exterior, it simply appears to be just another soft case. There are no markings on the exterior to think otherwise.

I did find these below in the link, specifically made for the Sub 200, but none are as good as mine.

A friend has a hard case for his. Cutout foam to fit the carbine and companion handgun.
The case is marked with the RIGID logo so it looks like some kind of power tool case.
I don't know where he bought but I know they don't sell them anymore. I imagine that Home Depot yelled st them pretty loud for using their brand name.

Any old 17inch or larger laptop bag will work.

+1 for make it yourself. Store bought stuff is recognized by both bad guys and the man as holding devices.

Elite Survival Systems are an option:

Actually, any laptop bag would work (16-17"). I have an older Blackhawk MP5/laptop-sized bag I've used for my SUB2K in the past:

I have the UTG case, and it's garbage. There's no way you can carry it, or have it in a vehicle and not have it scream GUN IN HERE. No one walks around with this huge tombstone shaped bag on their back. Not the mention the quality is typical UTG. I've barely used mine.....it sits in the closet 99.99999% of the time, and yet the stitching around a zipper has already pulled out.

If I ever get a sub2K, which sometime I hope to, I'm going to get a plain old tennis racquet bag, or a laptop bag. Nothing especially made to be 'discreet' when an actual discreet bag is better.

Something like this might fit nicely. I have one and it fits my plate carrier with a 10.5in 300blk pistol (broken down to upper and lower halves) inside the main pocket. Other pockets can hold mags, med kit, etc. I use it when traveling by car. Not the most discreet but kinda looks like a typical bag that a lot of guys have nowadays with molle straps and such.

Looking around the house, I came across an old hydration pack. Slim and fairly narrow. The sub just fits in the hydration bladder pocket. The other pocket will hold a couple 17 rd mags. Works for the moment.

I use a laptop backpack. Fits the Kel Tec snugly, and is complete with velcro straps. It's very nondescript as well.

There is a lot of extra space in a tennis racket bag when paired with a sub 2000. That is why I use a 17in laptop bag.

This is what I use:
A surplus canvas mechanics bag;

https://www.gijoesmilitarysurplus.co...R8145GREEN.jpg

I holds my Sub 2k folded, a chest harness with 6 extra magazines and 200 rounds of ammo.

Iv'e printed 'Flares' on in with a sharpie and no one is the wiser. Not fancy but it does the job without screaming 'Take Me'.
