I saw this same type of thread on another forum and thought it was pretty cool.

So why not start one here.

At the top of each forum section you will see a "Forum Tools" drop down menu.

Use the drop down menu and click on "Mark this forum as read" - its the second option from the top of the menu.

Just kidding. Couldn't help myself.

Good idea having this thread.
Its kinda like a boxer - brief hybrid. Longer then a brief, but not as long as a boxer. So maybe a short boxer?

"I do not know of such a book. If I "had" to recommend just one book, it would be the Bible."

I really appreciate this answer, although it will probably upset non-Bible believers...

Beer sounds good, maybe some sausage, chips,,, whatever you want. I'll be posting more about it as the date gets closer.

If someone gets upset because of my opinion, too bad. That shows a lack of respect on their behalf.

If I would have said the US Army survival manual, would the people who think the SAS survival manual is the best get upset? Maybe a little.

But if you mention the bible, or a book that deals with religion, then people get all upset.

Its called respect. You dont believe in a GOD, fine, I dont care. I dont care either way. Because I try to respect other peoples opinions just a little bit.

Unless you vote democrat or republican, but that is a different story.

I've been bashed before.....

BTW I think you have a great forum here. Lots of friendly people and a lot of interesting posts. I particularly liked the welcome from you when I joined and the welcomes from other members. I'm still working my way through the posts and it shows 9418 unread! *sigh* So little time.....

Kev, thanks for the time and effort to keep the board up and running!

What do you think future improvements or additions will look like? (not saying that anything specific is wrong now, just that something someone l respect once said about if you're not growing, you're dying which can apply to a lot of life's endeavors...

While I imagine that something as big as the membership and volume of this board is inviting to let it just run itself, I also suspect that someone who pulled off getting a board this big isnt the type to let it run itself for very long without trying this or that...

so just curious, what do you have in mind?

If a tree falls in the forest, but no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?

I really need to know.
