Nice truck! If there’s a New Jersey shaped decal in the door jamb I might have assembled part of it.

I really like the ending.
(Only thing I'd borrow money for would be real estate or medical care. Never had a car note.)

My first truck I financed through my credit union, my second I had 0% financing from Ford. I paid cash for the truck I drive now and intend to do so for every vehicle I buy in the future. I keep my trucks about 10 years before buying a new one.

I drive my wife's old car. She has a note on her 2017 Pilot, but it's honestly paid for itself 3x over as a carrot to motivate her to work more. She can make as much or little as she wants so I'm cool with her having motivation, it's worked out for me.

For me personally, I pretty much work as much as possible and don't need any external motivators so I'm cool with driving her hand me down, paid for turd until the wheels fall off.

Pffft, I never knew what a car note was. Always paid cash for cheap second hand vehicles and been relatively lucky .

I’m a member of the debt free club. Except a mattress. When I had surgery my wife but a adjustable bed. It’s was zero percent financing and zero cash discount. So in 3 more months that bed will be mine.

Good song!

But I like CARZ better by Sir Mixalot.

Can't link it here because of language. Don't want to twist them Panties.

Car payment? Yeah, that's how much per month my car pays me to drive it.

My 2002 Chevy pays me $350 for every month I drive it!!!!!

We’ve never had more than one car payment at a time and we went 8 years without a note.

but living rural with a commute of 40 miles one way a new car is worth the payments as long as one chooses the vehicle and payment wisely.

How? I don't see the need. Plenty of good, reliable used cars out there.

We average 30,000 miles a year and normally keep a vehicle for 10 years so I prefer to start new so I know maintenance history.

For a second vehicle used is fine that’ll be driven only locally whereas work vehicle sees freeway driving.

I saved half the cost of my truck by buying it with 25,100 miles on it.
