Default Dessert and Snakes

So I got this email from Cheaper than Dirt today. One of the items is a box of MRE's that contain:

Quote:
Each case has 12 meals, a five-year shelf life and includes a hot entrée, dessert, snakes, condiments and a heater. Believe it or not, they actually taste as good as canned food!
Can we get it without the snakes? I have plenty in the woods behind my house.

Huh...??

What kind of a typo is that? I'm trying to think of what they meant to say in that description...?

So today I get this email:

Quote:
Yesterday's e-mail mistakenly described the contents of our MREs, we apologize for this error.

Each case has 12 meals and a five-year shelf life. The meals include a hot entrée, dessert, snacks, condiments and a heater. Believe it or not, they actually taste as good as canned food!
So if you were looking forward to the snakes, you're out of luck it seems. :D

I'm not aware of price gouging but I haven't been aware of that company for very long. Can you elaborate?

http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/AMM633-5.html $500 for a case of 7.62x39! The day Obama was elected their price on x39 was over $500, everyone else was selling for the going rate at the time $200 a case. They have had their price on that higher too.

They are a big reason prices aren't dropping to normal. I got nothing wrong with making a buck, but flat out screwing people?

CTD is fear mongering price gougers! I won't do buisness with them.
