To paraphrase an old saying "To argue with a liberal is like wrestling with a pig in mud... after awhile, you get dirtier and the pig actually enjoys it".

Here is my favorite exercise to tell someone anti gun. It's just trying to jump start logic in their brain.

Tell them to go to their bedroom and sit down on the bed with a watch. Have the lights turned out and everything as quiet as possible with the door shut. Assume it's 1am and they hear a noise. Tell them now to look at their watch. The noise is a window breaking downstairs. Around that time at night a good response time for most police is around 10 minutes. Let them think for 10 minutes while sitting their all that could happen in that time before the police even shows up let alone actively tries to enter. This while they are thinking of their kids down the hall, the wife clinging beside them. They may have a bat or a golf club versus the great unknown of who or how many just broke in. Are they on drugs? Are they just looking to steal something quickly and run or are they a trained crewed who does home invasions?

That 10 minutes maybe the longest time in their lives.

Default Armed father saves his son from killer doctors

Good for Pops. I like to think that I would go to any ends to save my child.

Quote:
"A father took a gun into hospital to stop doctors taking his son off life support - and during the three-hour stand-off the young man squeezed his hand. The sign that he wasn't brain dead meant he was kept alive - and he is now recovering and doing well. His father, 59-year-old George Pickering II, was charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after marching into Tomball Regional Medical Center in Texas with a gun. His 27-year-old son, George III, had been declared brain dead after suffering a massive stroke in January. After doctors declared there was no more hope for him, they ordered a 'terminal wean' - whereby life support is slowly withdrawn to end a life. But Pickering Sr told KPRC: 'They were moving too fast. The hospital, the nurses, the doctors. I knew if I had three or four hours that night that I would know whether George was brain-dead.' During the standoff, Pickering's faith that his son had been misdiagnosed never wavered and after he finally got the response he wanted from his boy, he surrendered peacefully to authorities."

I pray for a prosecutor with some common sense, or a reasonable jury. In Texas, he might just have a chance.

True...there's a reason they're know as LibTards. Little ability for logic or critical thinking. If you actually listen to or read their form of "logic", it could be argued that that they have suffered some sort of brain injury or the cognitive thinking area wasn't fully developed in the womb.

cog·ni·tion
ˌkäɡˈniSH(ə)n/
noun
the mental action or process of acquiring knowledge and understanding through thought, experience, and the senses.

Anyone who has read ANYTHING Dianne Feinstein has said regarding guns knows she's a special kind of stupid. I have not heard much from her in the last year or so, maybe the liberals with higher than average gray matter have muzzled her due to her moronic statements that have left some in own her party shaking their heads.

Arguing with them is akin to the whole 'wrastlin' a pig' analogy. You can't win using logic as they cannot unfreeze their brain long enough to process the logic. You can only state so many times: new laws won't help. They just parrot what they've heard and never think it through. Some shutdown tactics I've used are 6 yes or no questions. No room for "yeah but..."
1. Are there laws against murder?
2. Are people still murdered every day? (non weapon specific)
3. Are there laws against rape?
4. Are people still raped?
5. Are there laws against running red lights?
6. Do people still run red lights? (even with red light cameras)

Then how would any new law against anything we already have laws against, help? They cannot answer that.

You can't strengthen concrete. It's as hard as it's ever gonna be. If judges don't put lawbreakers away...then laws are only suggestions. Put lawbreakers away and you stop (or reduce) law breaking. Simple math sort of. St. Louis City Police Chief called the judges/courts out recently stating "as fast as we take these guys off the streets, they're let right back out to commit more crime." Liberals never talk about crime or the criminals, only about reducing law abiders ability to defend themselves against the criminals. They don't talk about why a new law will or will not work, only that new laws will fix the problem.

There's so much info, and video and stories about this, I'm surprised anyone would try to argue against gun ownership.

1. Five stories

2. Self Defense Cases

3. The Armed Citizen

4, True Stories of the Concealed Carry Assoc.

5. Video Compilation on Youtube (there are many more).

I study the videos all the time. You'll see not just guys straight out of the military, older retired fella who repells a group of armed robbers in a casino. You see an older mom who opens fire on a group of home invaders who were twice her size. You see people who were in the right place at the right time and -- as we most all have who carry -- made the decision to act and not be a victim. Gun ownership has rocketed upwards and crime has plummeted. It's a fact...Jack.
