Barx3 sets of 5 !!!!
Bent row
135x2 sets of 5
175x2 sets of 5
190x2 sets of 5
Ab wheel

A lot of joint tightness ie swelling, but I got 'er done! No problems during the descent or accent! Can't put a lot of weight on my knee during ab wheel reps, but it won't be long and I'll be doing them standing again.

No Friday lift because I've been sick. Wife had it first, now it's my turn. Mostly a head cold dropping into my chest as normal. Not sure if I'll lift Monday - depends on if I fee a bit better or not.

I'd like to, Jo, except I'm still sick today! At least there is no fever, my temp is running 96.2 today, which is a degree under normal. Wife just got over it, too.

Tomorrow is heavy squat day, so I'm not missing it. Going to give the bar plus a five on each side a ride!

Got my squat in. Pleasantly pleased because I had no idea how it would feel on my knee. Last weeks empty bar felt great. Today was just as good, so I'm healing!

Weirdest thing - my knees hurt like a bast*rd when I walk, but don't bother me at all while lifting. Only thing I can figure is I need to get out more and push them hard.

Feeling significantly better today. Not all the way back, but better. This was a very abbreviated session.

Close grip bench
140x10
240x8
245x6 sets of 3
300x1
325x1
DB curls
35sx2 sets of 10

Stay home where you can and stay safe, everyone!

Close grip bench
140x10
240x8
300x4 sets of 3
Dips
BWx8
25#x8
55#x8
DB curls
35x10
45sx2 sets of 10

45# curls were challenging. No pain, just weakness in my right arm.

I lift at my buddy's place, but we got a stay at home order today in WA. I have weights, a 55lb squat bar I can use for benching, and I think I'll bring home our smallest trapbar tomorrow before it goes into effect. Only the basic of basics, but I'll be able to lift without leaving my home. Using the thicker, longer, and heavier squat bar will make benching far more difficult, so it should help in the long run!

I agree with your assessment, getting away from the norm will help stabilizers is many ways.

Things are looking good!

SSB squat
155x5
205x2 sets of 5
Bent Row
135x3 sets of 5
Ab wheel

Brought home my SSB bar instead the trapbar. I did a single with 285 (which the bar is always loaded with) and decided against taking the time to break it down. We keep our 100s on the bar and I figured moving just the squat bar would be easiest. Kind of looking forward to doing things differently at home!

My first lifting session at home was a bust. Got everything cleaned up and found my old rickety free standing bench and pulled it into the power rack. Empty bar, fine, but with 150'ish pounds I sensed a blip in the matrix. 240'ish - danger Will Robinson! I stopped after 4 reps.

This rickety bench is a hair too narrow, wayyyy too short, but the bigger problem was my back squishing down and the edges rolling my shoulders inward. I found a chunk of plywood to put on top, but it was too wide and my triceps stopped on it like a floor press. I'll find a longer piece tomorrow and cut it to fit. Too tired from working around the place to lift today anyway.

Kinda cool using my old Texas Squat bar to bench with! It's a foot longer than a regular bench bar, far thicker, and is also 55 instead of 45 pounds. There will be no bar whip making it far more difficult, plus the stabilizers are worked far harder trying to control the weights farther away. A 350lb bench press with this one will be impressive, although I have handled 410 on a 3" thickbar in the past.

First day of lifting at home in the books. Man, my old bench needs replaced, for sure! My wife spotted every set because I'm fearful of it breaking under my weight combined with the bar. Think I'll look online and see if I can find something.

The weights I use will be very odd. A 55lb bar to start with, then a pair of 48lb plates, then three more pairs of 45's. I think my 25's are both 28's, but I gotta reweigh them. For now I'll treat them as 25's.

Close grip bench
151x10
241x5
291x1
301x1
311x1
321x1
Military press
151x5
161x2 sets of 5
DB curls
35sx2 sets of 10
45sx2 sets of 10

Went with singles in the CG because of how rickety my bench is. Takes quite a lot to stabilize each rep. Nice thing was getting the piece of plywood cut to the right width. Made all the different to lay on top of my bench, instead of sinking within.

Squat day didn't go too bad. My knee is still swollen and I can only go down to where it tightens up. Its parallel or very close, so I'll work from there.

SSB Squat
161x5
251x2 sets of 5
Bent Row
151x2 sets of 5
191x2 sets of 5

It's light enough - I just worried about my knee and things blowing out of it like a bomb!

Got in my light day. It was...light!

Close grip bench
151x10
241x6 sets of 3
275x3
Military press
125x3 sets of 8
DB curl
35sx2 sets of 10
45sx10

Close grips aren't "quite" as awkward. Still shopping for a good bench. My wife spots me every set hoping this one doesn't break I kept militaries light and will for the foreseeable future. Still not sure about curls. Something in my right elbow is definitely weak. Slow and stead should win the race.
