Default 2nd person at my job has the virus

We had one person in the other building test + for the virus, they have been in quarantine since the 13th, I was not back from vacation until the 16th. Anyone that had contact with the person were notified and the building was cleaned this past weekend.

In MY building (not close to me...) someone tested positive, I'm not sure how long he has been out but I have not seen him at all this week. I can't work from home, I have to be here to handle things. But if this doesn't shut us down, I don't know what will. I can go with a couple weeks off.

Hope you get to stay home. What is it going to take? The guy NEXT to you getting it?

I believe we are going to close later today. All the stock room and shipping people were sent home, the big shots are running around with cans of Lysol... cannot make this crap up...

They had a big meeting at 12 today here, no word yet. The stock room and shipping/receiving docks are closed. They have to run it past corporate, since I leave here in 15 minutes I may not know unless they call us using the emergency system.

At my son’s job they had a big meeting last week and were told do not come to work if you’re sick. The next morning a guy came in with a 102 fever and stayed until they sent him home a couple of hours later. Now the have a dept manager watching them to make sure they stay 6 ft apart and don’t gather in groups larger than 2. Their last hour of every shift is spent hosing down trucks, tools, and building with disinfectant. This is why they shut down workplaces and restaurants. Can’t trust people to do what’s right.

Where I work they can and do fire people for being stupid/not doing what they are told and endangering others. People need to give more tough love than trophies.

I found out wed night un officially my foreman has it. I have been home since. It was our agency's health dept job to tell us....no call yet...its been 4days.

Screw work..your family's health is more important than any pay check.

Just to be clear I was considered an essential employee at a major transportation agency.
