You continue to be wrong cuck.

Patrol phase of ARS is longer than BUDS hell week. (That's what our instructors told us.... Honestly if you held a gun to my head I couldn't tell you how long it lasted. I know after 3 days of no sleep I'll start to hallucinate.)
I served with other Recon Marines who cross trained as both Rangers and Seals.
Said the only thing potentially harder than ARS is Combat Dive. (WHich I did not get to go to. Was planned, but Iraq got in the way.)

I doubt that...most members on this forum are former cops/military/hikers-campers-outdoors/weight lifters/athletes type folks. I checked out the "physical" requirements and times/reps/miles/swimming/etc for what the Seals had to obtain or pass years ago just to see what they were, and I would have passed the physical part with flying colors. The mental aspect I would have probably failed with flying colors so there is that aspect as well, lol.

Was undefeated for 4 years in 25/50/100 freestyle swimming...which means I could not only swim, but was faster than most in my area for many years. Played and was pretty dang good at basketball and soccer for my youth as well. That involves being really fast/quick and stamina and strength, etc. Could do the situps and pushups in speedy time along with pullups. Was a camper/hiker. So, yeah, in my teens and early 20's... seal physical training would have been much easier for me than 99% of the other folks trying to gain entry. I wouldn't lump everyone on this board into any one category

FWIW, Belzarian didn't wash out of SEAL training because he couldn't hack it physically or mentally. If what Wiki says is true, he had to of made it through to Phase 3 (at the very least) before washing out on a range safety violation. It had to be a repeated offense, pretty egregious, or both. You don't get kicked out on a single small safety violation; too much money and time invested at that point. He got kicked out because of unprofessional-ism or incompetence. Reading about the guy, I'm guessing it was a pretty liberal dosage of both.

Again, only the type of guy someone that has a lifetime sub to "Soldier of Fortune" and thinks of Mack Bolan books as training manuals would try to emulate.

My first XO had a Trident. I don't know if it's true but I was told he was the first Marine Officer to attend BUDS. That said everyone knows the SEALs are the Varsity of SOCOM.

I read a few Mack Bolan books in high school but my favorite to this day are Barry Sadler's Casca series.

Yup, if we lived in Japan we wouldn't have this problem. They go to school all year and have anime to keep them occupied.
