I seem to be on Amazon every day to cross something off the list. Amazon should be subsidizing this forum, given the revenue we are probably generating on that site.

Last order was a set of Wiha driver bits including torx bits, which I bought primarily to be able to maintain my knives. Typical torx bits are of low quality and can snap if any of the screws are secured with a bit of Loctite. This happened to me, the bit snapped and the screw would up stripped and inoperable. Fun stuff.

Wiha's drill bits are made of good tool steel, so no issues with them.

More specifics would be better - do we have a dollar amount (our max credit card amount is going to differ from saying just having $500), are there signs the government is collapsing, etc.

i keep separate lists that represent entire systems. for instance, one list would be the solar panels, batteries, and all the connecting wires and modules. pull the trigger on that list as an order, and if it arrives, it's everything you need to build and install a whole system.

problem is that some of those components, probably something critical, would be out of stock at that exact moment, and have to take 30 days to get there from china.

you get weird problems like that. once on a camping trip i needed a very specific collapsible water container (whose threads matched the sawyer squeeze input side), says in stock, prime 2-day. order it. get an email a day later, out of stock, shipping from japan est arrival 2 weeks...well that sucks i need it before then...a day later it shows back up in stock...order a second one, it shows up in 2 days.

amazon's weird like that sometimes.

though more to the OP's question, it would be stuff pretty much the same as if i made "one last run to the store", but even with 2 day shipping, i think you'd be better off trying to make it to the store

If you typically have $500... Spend $500
If you typically have $5,000 you can spend $5k.

I was curious about what everyone might grab.

Personally if I think something should be put on a list.... I buy it.
got some fishing yoyo's based on that theory a while back.

Bout all I'd go after is things with experiation dates like cooking oil and chocolate.

for the purposes of the thread you don't think stores will be open 30 seconds after the order is deliveted, but you can drive to town d but meanwhile. (Feel free to share that too.)

Books sux BTW, apparently you can buy LAW'S and hand grenades off the internet, and full auto M2's and 249's are only "a little illegal" etc.
Author has no concept of guns, military tactics, laws, etc. I can suspend disbelief with the best of them, but is accept little green men from mars before all this author's errors.

Using the Amazon's shopping list allows time to watch a items price. It can change rather substantially depending on day or hour. I also use the shopping list to save items for further research and comparison. Not everything on my list will be bought from Amazon (or bought at all). It also controls impulse shopping to put items on the list ,when the impulse strikes, and wait a few days to think it through.

First: OUCH! Fortunately, you mentioned the actual book you were/are reading and it was not one of mine. I do get accused of that particular complaint quite often.

Next, write the book, Nomad, 2nd. I would buy and read it, and ever since I was accused of plagiarism here several years ago I do not read others' Prep/PAW fiction. I would read yours, however. Aerindel's, too.

I do like some of the others said. I keep multiple wish lists, grouping like items together, and grouping items needed for specific projects together.

I click on the checkout basket every day or so and a list pops up with any price changes. I have caught things priced way down and gotten real bargains. I think part of it is foreign exchange rates changing.

As to the list, it would be limited to just over $3,500. I would mostly fill in some weak spots, large-quantity-purchase items I usually buy one or two at a time, a few hard books, a few specific tools, additional solar panels and spare batteries.

That would pretty much take the $3,500, if everything was in stock.

Just my opinion.

..Interesting.. (..and +1 on WRITE THE BOOK, btw.. And weave some - factual - EMT / FF incidents in there... not like TV does 'EMS', ie: CPR with 4x wimpy compressions and 'rescue breaths' into a Closed airway... Richly-detailed prose, drawn from Your real-life experiences will = far more engrossing fiction.. I'm in for a copy...

..Anyhoo, generally speaking, Amazon used to also be one of our 'go to's, but.. Just like most tend to shy away from retailers, if/when you find out they're - publicly / vocally - against our RTKBA (..or Worse, 'shilling' for the Puppeticians..) I have a hard time supporting them much anymore, due to 'Darth Bezo's Evil-liances with the CIA / CFR and his 'lefty-bias NWO-rag', WaPo, there.. BUT..

..one 'last thing' I'll get from them if/when before they deep-6, is Another few pairs of the - Best - cargo / BDU pants I've ever owned, freaking Love them, and Amazon's the only reliable source I've found.. (..eBay / other online retailers are hit/miss..)

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ...Super tough, love being able to add EVA-foam in the knee-pockets, and they have Plenty of cargo-pockets (..and pockets-within-pockets..) for all yer EDC skak.. Even a nice Molle 'strip' on the left-leg, perfect spot for my TOPS tree-chopper..

..Definitely worth the Price, too, as I'll usually go thru 2-3x pairs of $45.+ "tough / EMT cargos" each year, but... Not any more..

..so, Thanks, Darth Bozos..

Oh, Lord...

I had to go back and check my list real quick...

Maybe a lot more security things for doors and windows, rechargeable batteries, or how-to books.

Before we can make our last orders to Amazon, some things will become a lot more expensive, or unavailable, or the Amazon website or ground and air shipping will become intermittent. And that will effect what your last choices will be. But you can't know how until you are there, and are faced with the specifics.

Might depend on which gear yuppie sheeple / etc. happen to be talking up among themselves at the last minute.

bilmac at #13 also had a great idea: more communications equipment.

Ask the nearest beautiful woman what she wants and buy that!

But she'd better be amazin'

Also would be nice to get some beer I like one more time. Guess that's not on Amazon.

I think we'll eventually be brewing here in my home state, if we survive the zombies and everything else, but it would be nice to have something for the interim, until things calm down. Don't know if I'm going to be up to brewing anything myself during the last days of the system / civilization.

And I'd get everything I've shazammed, but that I haven't bought yet.

I just thought I would let people know to be wary of giving this info out as it is one of the things used by Amazon for security purposes. It could be used to gain access to an amazon account, or personal information.

Oh I don't mind the occasional "preper porn" (meaning they have millions of dollars (or whatever worth of stuff) although I don't want ALL of them like that.
-I think "built up over 20 years" would be better, and it would be nice to see a realistic scinario.... Like 1 day or week after ALL the buying is done "something" happens.
I guess no one would pay to read a book about me picking lettuce or trimming fruit trees though.

I just don't like stupid stuff.
Everyone has an automatic rifle. (Initially I gave leeway, figuring it just means semi.... But then $ values were named, and it's neither semi nor class3)
Buying mortars and LAWS (grenades and claymores too) mail order online.

Another one I read they got that by buying them from a crooked supply Sgt.
That at least is possible.

But BS about such and it not being either illegal or "totally legal" etc.
Don't just get it Wrong. (And SO WRONG... because you just don't care.)

I've noticed more and more of it lately, and almost always it's writers who don't care about prepping trying to "cash in" on the "prepper market"

Amazon apparently thinks I need to set up a business account since I've ordered MANY tools in the past year, LOL. As a woman, little do they know it's for my house, I'm into tools and do home renovation or did, this is (I think) my last, but only God know this for sure .

If the S were going to hit the F, and I had time for one last Amazon order to be delivered (which I believe was the original question), I would spend $5k on:

Food/Dog Food
Batteries
First Aid stuff
Another Generator
Solar panels and batteries
Night vision
Clothes and Boots
