Like anywhere. land value in Alaska depends partly
on location. Here is a link that has over 500 listings.

Short answer, not really. There is comparatively little private land here and that makes what little there is a little expensive compared to the lower 48. It is undeveloped with few roads, unlike the rest of the world. The lack of roads makes things very congested. Unless you truly live in the bush, you will be disappointed. You could find a much nicer spread in New Hampshire or Maine and still be within distance of making a living for a lot less money. That's just my take, and I have a high paying job and I've been here 11 years.

The state does land auctions each year and some of it goes for real cheep. We found our land on craigslist. Be patient and keep looking. It took us 4 years of looking to find our perfect getaway property.
