I'm trying to use old gamecams to make IR floodlight that are motion sensitive and ones that can be mounted on rail system or on a headlamp set-up. Any suggestions?

You might look at products from Streamlight. I have an 850 nm IR light being repaired by them right now, great warranty service.

There are a ton of DIY IR illuminator kits out there. You buy a PCB and the LEDs and solder away.

You could use a 12V motion sensor wired to a 12V battery and an IR spotlight:

https://www.amazon.com/Illuminator-I...gateway&sr=8-6

It wouldn't be portable, but it's pretty flexible and inexpensive. Lots of options for both the motion sensor and IR spotlight. The motion sensor isn't waterproof, but you could easily fix that.

You can get 10 3 watt LEDs on Amazon for under $12. It would be cheap and easy to make what you need.

Planning on these for my birthday in October. Not cheap, but then again, I'm not the most mechanically inclined person in the world either.
